See AllDungeons & Dragons Has To Solve Its Controversial Drow Problem Before A Legend Of Drizzt TV Show Can Be Made
Having read a couple of the post 2000's Drow focused novels, I can definitely say that complex Drow exists in stories. Portraing how the structure of the Lolth's societies grinds away the good in complex characters, turning them into minons, is definitely something that is easily done. Even some of the early Drizzt stories can get this treatment by removing some of the more essentalising descriptions and focusing a bit in other young Drow getting taught/indoctrinated into being evil (assuming the story will start in Menzo).
Tldr I'd say that more than just bones of an anti-racist and anti-sexist story is available for writers dealing with the drow of Toril.
