Director Shane Black's The Predator revives the action/sci-fi franchise with a new installment, but does the movie have a post-credits scene teasing another sequel in the series? The series kicked off in 1987 with the Arnold Schwarzenegger-led Predator, directed by John McTiernan, and introduced fans around the world to an alien that hunts humans for sport. Predator was followed in 1990 by Predator 2, which starred Danny Glover and moved the hunting grounds from a dense Central American jungle to the streets of Los Angeles. After a two-decade hiatus, Nimród Antal directed 2010's Predators, which again changed the setting, this time to an alien planet.

Now, Predator star-turned-director Shane Black returns to the franchise, this time behind the camera to helm the reboot/revival of the franchise in The Predator. For this entry, the predator creature is hunting a group of psychologically impaired soldiers, led by Quinn McKenna (Boyd Holbrook), in a suburban area. To make matters more complicated, the predators have upgraded themselves - making them even more lethal - and McKenna's son Rory (Jacob Tremblay) is wrapped up in the action. The film boasts an impressive cast that also includes Sterling K. Brown, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Thomas Jane, Alfie Allen, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski.

Now, The Predator is starting to roll out in theaters around the world and audiences may be wondering whether they should stick around through the very end for a closing stinger. Unfortunately, The Predator doesn't have a post-credits scene or any other teases about a potential follow-up once the credits roll. While the credits are always worth watching to get an idea of who's involved in making a sci-fi movie like The Predator, but the film concludes entirely prior to the credits.

That's not to say the ending completely skips out on The Predator setting up a sequel or another movie, but any teases for additional installments in this long-running action/horror franchise come in the film proper. Certainly, with the inclusion of 20th Century Fox - soon to be acquired by Disney once the deal is finalized - will green light another Predator movie.

Fox cutting a scene that featured a ed sex offender, and Munn dealing with the fallout of being the one to bring it to the studio's attention. Still, depending on audience reactions and, more importantly, the box office for The Predator, the franchise may find new life yet. Whether or not fans will stick around for another movie remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure: Audiences don't need to stick around for a post-credits scene for The Predator.
