More About Praise Petey

Praise Petey Show Poster

Screen Rant's exclusive clip from Praise Petey Season 1 Episode 2 shows Petey waking up to a seemingly tranquil environment. With soft instrumentals playing in the background and a friendly butterfly dropping in for a visit, Petey reminds herself that all will be well if she stays positive. However, her peaceful bubble is popped when a man on all fours makes his presence known at the foot of her bed. Petey immediately drops an F-bomb, splashing a cold bucket of water on the audience with the show's abrupt tonal shift.

Things become even more interesting when the man introduces himself as Petey's own human Shih Tzu and offers the same bed warming service he provided for her father. He also proves to be quite the grammarian, when he jumps at the opportunity to explain the difference between "lie" and "lay." The clip wraps up after Petey learns that she's inherited several other helpers, including her own personal limb stretcher, pleasant bird sound maker, Metamucil holder, and correspondence reader.

The first two installments of Praise Petey air on July 21st and are titled “Taxi to the South!” and "Unemployment Cris." New episodes will be released weekly, with two consecutive episodes dropping each Friday through August 18th. The series is also available to stream the next day on Hulu.

Praise Petey premieres Friday, July 21st at 10:00 pm ET on Freeform.
