The original strong Megazords throughout Power Rangers history, the Dino Megazord is a classic for being the very first one introduced in the franchise. It is formed by a combination of the T-Rex, Mastodon, Pterodactyl, Triceratops, and Sabertooth Tiger Zords, all of which form the armored titan of a machine.
Now, Super Queen Studio has posted a video showing a time-lapse of the Megazord from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers being built around someone cosplaying as the massive robot. The video first shows the incorporation of the Triceratops and Sabertooth legs, followed by the combined T-Rex, Mastodon, and Pterodactyl that make up the rest of its body. After completion, the cosplayer walks and spins around in the outfit, while the cameraperson compares it to a toy Dino Megazord, showing just how accurate the outfit is. What The Megazord Cosplay Says About Power Rangers
The Original Series Had A Lasting Impact
The original Dino Megazord appeared throughout Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season 1, reappearing in some flashbacks after the Thunder Megazord was introduced. It showed up again in the 30th anniversary Netflix special Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, later appearing at the end of Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury, which closed out the series' original continuity. It has since become a classic part of the series, as it represents the earliest team and their original battle against Rita Repulsa (Machiko Soga).
The cosplay itself is also highly impressive, with even the smallest facets of the legs and arms being considered, making it highly accurate to the original. Its mobility is also impressive, as the outfit seems to work so that whoever is piloting it can walk around with relative ease. While Power Rangers' coolest Megazords all have their important places within the franchise's history, the original robot crafted from the Dinozords remains the most prominent and nostalgic version.
