With the biker gangs brawling, it’s now up to Crush and Paige to shut the Czarnians down for good. Can the power of brains, brawn, and beauty prevail?

Additionally, her waist is adorned with a striking, asymmetrical silver belt, which possesses an almost otherworldly quality, thanks to its tendrils that suggest transformative properties, capable of adjusting and reconfiguring itself. Power Girl’s High-Fantasy Look, New Powers, and Name Change Set Her Apart From Supergirl

Power Girl #10 featuring Paige and her high fantasy look

Despite currently being only a variant cover, Power Girl’s new fantasy look remarkably distinguishes her from the more renowned Supergirl, who is the Prime-Earth counterpart to Power Girl's Earth-2 origins. This fantasy-oriented vibe starkly contrasts with the sci-fi aesthetics typically associated with the costume designs of Supergirl and other of the Superman family. Among fans and within comic storylines, Paige has encountered challenges in setting herself apart from Kara. However, recent developments in comic continuity have helped mitigate this issue, and this new costume serves to reinforce the distinction between the two characters.

DC has visibly worked to distinguish Power Girl from Supergirl by establishing her own unique identity, allowing her to move beyond simply being Kara’s Earth-Two counterpart. Notably, Power Girl's name has been changed from new astral punch ability, which enables Paige to teleport herself and others.

Unlike Supergirl, Power Girl was absent from Tom Taylor’s Dark Knights of Steel, despite the storyline revolving around the Superman family and featuring staple characters like Kara, Kal-El, Jor-El, and Lara-El. However, with the high-fantasy Elseworlds series, Dark Knights of Steel: Allwinter, there is hope that fans will get to see a fantasy take on Paige that extends beyond Daxiong’s stunning variant cover. Even if Power Girl doesn’t make an appearance in the series, fans can surely appreciate getting a glimpse of what a fantasy-inspired Paige would have looked like compared to Supergirl’s own medieval twist.

Power Girl #10 will be released on June 25, 2024, from DC Comics!
