Despite currently being only a variant cover, Power Girl’s new fantasy look remarkably distinguishes her from the more renowned Supergirl, who is the Prime-Earth counterpart to Power Girl's Earth-2 origins. This fantasy-oriented vibe starkly contrasts with the sci-fi aesthetics typically associated with the costume designs of Supergirl and other of the Superman family. Among fans and within comic storylines, Paige has encountered challenges in setting herself apart from Kara. However, recent developments in comic continuity have helped mitigate this issue, and this new costume serves to reinforce the distinction between the two characters.

Even if Power Girl doesn’t make an appearance in the series, fans can surely appreciate getting a glimpse of what a fantasy-inspired Paige would have looked like compared to Supergirl’s own medieval twist.
