Although Tommy and Ghost Power prequel is in the works, Starz's hit series clearly isn't going anywhere as the universe looks like it will continue to expand. Despite debuting over a decade ago, Power still has more stories to tell, meaning there are a number of characters that could be brought back and given their own spotlight through a spinoff.

While Raising Kanan is expected to continue, Power Book II: Ghost and Book IV: Force's cancelation sets up room for more projects. Raising Kanan's popularity alongside the announcement of Power Book V: Origins suggests the franchise isn't afraid to go down the prequel route and follow characters who have already died, opening up all kinds of possibilities for the future. While there is no indication that any other spinoffs are currently in the works, the plethora of great characters indicates that more shows are inevitable, allowing Power the opportunity to bring back some of its fan favorites.

How To Watch Power & All Power Book Spinoffs In Order

The 2014 Starz crime drama television series Power generated three spinoffs – read on for all the different ways to watch the shows in order.

7 Andre Coleman

Power Could Explore Dre's Early Life When He Was Under Kanan's Guidance

Rotimi as Dre looking angry as he walks on the sidewalk in Power

Dre might not have been the most popular character among audiences, but that's down to him being one of the franchise's greatest villains. Although he received a fleshed-out story during his time on the main show, Dre's unexplored history from before his introduction would make for a great spinoff. He was already part of Kanan's crew when he made his debut in season 2 and even served time in jail, but it would be fascinating to see how the two met, alongside watching the more experienced gangster taking Andre under his wing and turning him into a capable drug dealer.

The show could focus on exploring Dre's innocent side before getting wrapped up in the drug game, highlighting just how much it changed him. While this isn't an unfamiliar story for the franchise given Tariq arguably had a similar trajectory, knowing Dre's fate would make his descent into criminality a little more interesting. Although his journey may not have the same longevity as some of the other spinoffs, the series doesn't have to last multiple seasons, as a 10-episode special following Dre from his early days in Kanan's crew to the beginning of Power season 2 would be fascinating.

6 Rashad Tate

Rashad Tate's Political Campaign Could Continue In His Own Spinoff

Rashad Tate leans against something in Power - Book 2 - Ghost

Like most of Power's characters, Rashad Tate had criminal connections, but a spinoff focusing on his political campaign would add a new layer to the universe. The main show allowed him to share the spotlight on occasion with the protagonist, as the duo reluctantly worked together from time to time. Their unconventional alliance helped Rashad become a major character, and he even appeared in Power Book II: Ghost. However, when the other spinoffs were first announced, Rashad was supposed to get his own show, but plans for Power Book V: Influence were canceled, which felt like a wasted opportunity.

Larenz Tate did a fantastic job of portraying the confident and underhanded politician, and he would be a great choice to help continue the overarching narrative. Rather than focusing on drugs like most other Power projects, Influence would likely have delved into politics and shown just how corrupt and ruthless other people in his field are, which could have been a compelling project. While it was great to see Ghost include the character and expand his story, Rashad deserved the chance to lead his own series, and the franchise should think about revisiting the idea in the future.

5 Diamond Sampson

A Diamond Spinoff Can Keep Chicago Relevant In The Power Universe

Diamond smiles while chatting with a customer in Power Book IV: Force

Given Diamond was only introduced in 2022 through a spinoff show, it may seem unlikely for him to lead his own series, but this is the sort of change Power needs. The announcement of Origins is definitely exciting, but it proves the franchise is failing to branch out properly since every spinoff has focused on someone from the main show. As a result, allowing Diamond a chance to shine would help the franchise somewhat continue Force's story even after its cancelation while allowing Tommy to reunite with other characters, and it would also prevent Diamond from feeling overshadowed.

Despite being a great character, Diamond has never felt like Force's sole protagonist, even though he is a crucial part of the plot. Therefore, giving the new addition his own spinoff could allow CBI to continue and finally help him feel like a major player in the Power universe. Power: Book Force season 3 is confirmed to be the last outing for the spinoff, but announcing a solo project for Diamond would avoid wasting everything the series has built in Chicago, and given the character's interesting backstory and connections, Force's final installment can't be his last appearance in the franchise.

4 Joe Proctor

Jerry Ferrara as Joe Proctor talking in court in Power

Joe Proctor is easily one of the best characters in the Power universe, meaning he deserves a spinoff. Despite his tragic death in season 6, the attorney stood out as one of the smartest people in the entire franchise, and leading his own show would be extremely exciting. The legal side of Power was always one of its best-selling points, and Proctor defending Tommy and Ghost in court is among the show's best scenes. His ability to think on his feet and find loopholes in the legal system always made for great entertainment, and there's no reason this can't continue.

Therefore, exploring his life before he got mixed up with Ghost and his crew has plenty of potential and could almost mimic Better Call Saul by moving away from drugs and focusing on the law. Given he was a criminal attorney, there is still plenty of room for Joe's proposed spinoff to include gripping drama, and it would also help highlight the struggles of his marriage, which didn't get much attention in the main show. Jerry Ferrara's amazing performance is still a highlight of the Power franchise, and there's no doubt he'd nail this role again in a legal thriller.

3 Tasha St. Patrick

Tasha Remains One Of Power's Most Important Characters & Deserves Her Own Spotlight

Naturi Naughton as Tasha St. Patrick looking down in Power

Very few central characters managed to survive seasons 1-6 of Power, but Tasha St. Patrick was one of a handful to do so and needs a solo spinoff. While she remains a pivotal part of Power Book II: Ghost, Tasha has spent much of the show on trial or in witness protection, due to her being a key suspect in James St. Patrick's death. Given how much she benefited from her husband's ruthless organization, these restrictions are arguably justified and this could be a great place to leave her character, but there's still more of Tasha's journey to be explored.

She used to have a perfect life, settling down with a successful and rich husband, three wonderful children, and a gorgeous apartment in New York, making her new conditions all the more intriguing. After losing her husband and daughter alongside having no with Tariq, she is all alone with her youngest daughter, and this could make for an interesting spinoff. Having her try to protect Yasmine despite still having plenty of enemies out there deserves its own show rather than being an extension of Power Book II: Ghost and Naturi Naughton's longevity in the franchise should be rewarded.

2 Angela Valdes

Angela's Past Before Ghost Would Make For An Interesting Story

Angela Valdes (Lela Loren) and Cooper Saxe (Shane Johnson) in a meeting in Power

Angela was a fairly divisive character during her time in Power, but she clearly had a successful career before Ghost came into her life, which is worth exploring further. Despite working for the FBI and knowing how dangerous Ghost was, she remained romantically involved with him, ultimately costing Angela her life in one of Power's most shocking deaths. While her demise was arguably a long time coming due to her relationship with the franchise's protagonist, she could still be brought back in a prequel that highlights her rise in the law firm, leading to her becoming a U.S. District Attorney.

Depending on how far back the show went, it could even touch briefly on Angela and James' high school relationship, showing why she became so attached to him when Ghost reappeared in her life. Highlighting how hard she had to work to get into her professional position alongside how much promise she had in the legal field would help add to the tragedy around her death. Angela became blinded by love and was too far gone by the time season 6 came around, but showing who she was before the events of Power would make her story even more impactful.

Power Book IV: Force continues Power's story and expands the universe with another spinoff, but which show is the best entry in the Power franchise?

1 Ghost/ James St. Patrick

Power's Main Character Needs To Finally Return

Omari Hardwick as Ghost with a cellphone to his ear in Power

Although Power's next spinoff will feature Ghost, Omari Hardwick is unlikely to reprise his role since it's a prequel, but he needs to return. While Power season 6's ending revolved around Ghost's murder, it's time for the series to finally it killing him off was a mistake and bring back the protagonist. Ghost's return would undoubtedly cause some controversy as it would lessen the impact of the main show's ending and arguably everything that came after; however, most fans are desperate to see him come back from the dead and run New York's drug trade once again.

Many viewers were unhappy with the character being killed off, especially with how it was all handled, indicating that Ghost and Hardwick would be welcomed back into the franchise. A spinoff show risks feeling like season 7, but the new project could show how James faked his death, and what he's been doing since. If Power ever wants to bring the main series back for one more season, a show explaining how Ghost is still alive is exactly what it needs, and he's the one character audiences want to see more than anyone.
