Pokémon Sword and Shield Legendary Regidrago Alternate Art Card Debut

Alternate Art Regidrago Pokemon TCG Paradigm Trigger

One of Paradigm Trigger's best Full Art collectibles is the rare Alternate Art Regidrago. The holo foil card can be pulled from the set's Secret Rare subset, and features a gorgeous hand-drawn illustration by artist Hataya, who recently made their debut in the Pokémon Brilliant Stars TCG expansion. The alternate artwork is full of meticulous details, such as Regidrago sitting against a vine-covered ancient ruin wall. Making the card even more special, is that Johto Legendary Lugia can be seen flying in the sky in the background.

Kanto Fossil Pokémon Omastar Full Art V Paradigm Trigger Card

Paradigm Trigger's Omastar V not only has a strikingly epic full artwork, but it's also a bit of a rarity in the TCG. Despite being a popular Fossil Pokémon, Omastar hasn't actually been printed as a rare Pokémon card since X and Y's Fates Collide expansion in 2016. The Paradigm Trigger Omastar V card stands out due to its use of bright vibrant colors, and its intimidating depiction of the Kanto Pokémon launching into an attack under the sea.

Pokémon Paradigm Trigger Unknown V Alternate Art Card

Another Secret Rare that fans will not want to miss out on, is the Alternate Art Unknown V. The holographic collectible is illustrated by veteran Game Freak artist Toshinao Aoki, who has been drawing Pokémon cards since the release of the Neo Revelation expansion in 2001. The card is also a re-creation of a scene from the Pokémon Gold and Silver Johto region games, where players first discover the alphabet Pokémon in the Ruins of Alph near Violet City.

Gen 2 Legendary Lugia Full Art V Card

Although the Gen 2 Legendary has quite a few cards in Paradigm Trigger, the Lugia V Full Art has one of the set's best illustrations. The epic card depicts the Johto mascot bursting out of a stormy sea, and flying through a rainbow light reflection. The collectible's stunning design isn't too surprising, as it was actually drawn by founding TCG artist Mitsuhiro Arita who infamously created the iconic Base Set Charizard card. While the Lugia V isn't the rarest item in Paradigm Trigger, long-time fans will love to have this Full Art in their collection.

Rainbow Rare Lance Trainer Card Paradigm Trigger TCG

Rainbow Rare Lance Pokemon TCG Paradigm Trigger

The best Trainer Full Art in Paradigm Trigger goes to Lance, who is featured in the set's Secret Rare subset as a Rainbow card. Although the Kanto leader was recently featured in the Pokémon Celebrations TCG 25th anniversary set, Lance hasn't appeared as a proper rare collectible since the Dragon Majesty expansion in 2018. The Elite Four leader look absolutely epic in the card's full artwork, which capture his iconic cape flickering in the wind. The Rainbow Rare variant in particular is a collectible Kanto fans should definitely look forward to when it debuts in the Silver Tempest expansion in November.

Galar Legendary Titan Regieleki Full Art V Card

The second Legendary Titan card to appear in the set is the Regieleki V Full Art. While the Galar Pokémon also has a VMAX variant in Paradigm Trigger, its V design stands out a lot more due to its incredible artwork by illustrator Eske Yoshinob. The rare collectible is bursting with color as Regieleki is surrounded by bolts of blue and yellow lighting jolting off its body. Making the card even better, is the textured holo foil, which brings each spike of electricity to life. While Regieleki technically made its rare card debut in the popular Pokémon Evolving Skies TCG expansion, this is the first time the Sword and Shield Legendary has gotten the Full Art treatment.

Pokémon Gold & Silver Legendary Lugia Alternate Art V Card Paradigm Trigger

Alternate Art Lugia Pokemon TCG Paradigm Trigger

The absolute best Full Art in Paradigm Trigger is the Alternate Art Lugia V card. The Secret Rare collectible features artwork drawn by TCG artist kawayoo, who illustrates the Pokémon Gold & Silver Legendary bursting through a stormy sky. The rare collectible looks absolutely incredible in person, as the textured foil outlines the lightning that is piercing through the sky. The illustration is also a nice call back to the original Lugia card from the classic Neo Genesis TCG expansion in 2001. The Paradigm Trigger collectible feels as if it could be a different perspective from the classic Pokémon card's artwork, except players are now looking up at the Johto Water-type bird instead. When the English version of the Alternate Art Lugia V debuts in the Pokémon Silver Tempest TCG expansion in November, it will likely become one of the Pokémon Trading Card Game's most valuable Sword and Shield era cards.
