Every Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Paradox Pokémon Leaked

The first mention of Paradox Pokémon happened back in July, when the infamous Pokémon leaker described a new "Ancient" and Future" versions of certain characters being in Scarlet and Violet. In a September update reposted by Scarlet and Violet's Version Exclusive Pokémon feature, as each version will have 8 Paradox. In Pokémon Scarlet, players will be able to obtain Ancient Forms, while Pokémon Violet s will be able to catch Future Forms. Just like regional variants, the Gen 9 forms will see classic Pokémon transformed into a radically new design, while also taking on a new battle typing. Below is the complete list of every Scarlet and Violet Paradox Pokémon, and which version they are exclusive to.

Scarlet & Violet Paradox Pokémon Designs Revealed So Far

On November 8, Game Freak finally unveiled Paradox Pokémon with the reveal of Ancient Donphan "Grand Tusk", and Future Donphan "Iron Treads". The update also revealed that Paradox Pokémon are connected to an ancient Scarlet Book and Violet Book that details an explorers expedition of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet leak confirmed that these are both Ancient Forms exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet. Talented artist MadZygardeCore created a mockup of the leaked Paradox images to give players a better idea of what the Ancient Paradox Forms will look when the game launches in November.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Leaks Reveal Paradox Pokémon Locations

In early November, several fans managed to obtain early retail copies of Scarlet and Violet from stores that broke street date. While the two players only posted a handful of screenshots before being banned off social media, they also revealed some interesting details that hadn't been known before. According to the s, players will get to encounter Paradox Donphan early in the game in the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet story campaign "Path of Legends". However, the fans also claimed that other Paradox Pokémon are locked away in the mysterious time vortex that sits in the middle of the Paldea Region map. Their claims seem to be backed up by the November 8 update trailer, which shows both Ancient and Future Donphan flying out of the same vortex that they described. In the official marketing, it also states that the Book that Arven carries of Paradox illustrations is from an expedition of a "previously uncharted terrain" of Paldea.

With Paradox Pokémon finally revealed, it confirms that Gen 9 is going to have an interesting meta. Players will not only have ancient and future variants to obtain, they will have also convergent evolutions to catch as well, such as Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Wiglett, which is a side Water-Type species to Diglett. There could be more to Paradox Pokémon as well, as the same credible leaker teased Paradox versions of Suicune and Virizion. It is unclear, however, if the new Legendary Paradox variants are tied to Gen 9's Post-Game or future DLC.
