Pokémon Legends: Arceus allows players to find and catch Jolteon, an Electric-type Pokémon and one of the eight evolutions of Eevee. Alongside Vaporeon and Flareon, Jolteon is one of the original evolutions of Eevee that debuted in the release of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green. Jolteon is considered to be one of Eevee's better evolutions, as it is an Electric-type Pokémon with incredibly high Speed, Special Attack, and Special Defense stats. Though its HP and Defense stats are lacking, Jolteon is only weak against Ground-type Pokémon moves.
Similar to Umbreon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Jolteon has an extremely limited movepool, but the attacks it has available are powerful attacks. The best moves for Jolteon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus are Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, Rest, and Charge Beam. Charge Beam has a high chance to raise Jolteon's Special Attack, which can then be applied to Shadow Ball and Thunderbolt. Rest allows Joleton to fully heal itself at the cost of receiving the new drowsy effect in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. However, Jolteon still has a chance to attack even after being affected by drowsy, and it will shake off the effect shortly after receiving it.
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, players can actually find and catch a Jolteon, bying the need to evolve an Eevee. The Space-Time Distortions in Pokémon Legends: Arceus can sometimes have Jolteon appear in them, but only if the Space-Time Distortions occur in the Coronet Highlands. Space-Time Distortions will spawn multiple Pokémon at once, so players may find it challenging to catch a Jolteon as they're attacked by other Pokémon as well in Legends: Arceus. Fortunately, players can also get a Jolteon through the classic method of evolving Eevee with a Thunder Stone.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Evolve Eevee Into Jolteon With A Thunder Stone
Since the Thunder Stone is only used to evolve Eevee into Jolteon and Pikachu into Raichu, players shouldn't have a problem with getting their hands on one quickly in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Similar to Jolteon, players can find Thunder Stones in Pokémon Legends: Arceus by collecting the available items inside of a Space-Time Distortion. Additionally, a Thunder Stone can be purchased at the Trading Post for 1,000 Merit Points in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Merit Points are obtained by finding satchels across the Hisui region, and claiming the reward of 50-100 Merit Points per satchel from the Lost and Found menu.
Thunder Stones can also be obtained by purchasing one from Ginter at the Ginkgo Guild Shop for 5,000 Poké Dollars. Instead of being called a Thunder Stone, however, Ginter will list the item as a Lightning-Bolt Rock. While he may not always have the Thunder Stone in stock, players can catch 20 Pokémon in Legends: Arceus to reset his stock. Thunder Stones are best used to evolve an Eevee into Jolteon with either a Modest or Timid nature, and players can find and catch Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Arceus in several locations across the Hisui region.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus is available now on Nintendo Switch.
