A creative Pokémon Legends: Arceus to the game. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has long been a source of creative artistry in the gaming community, from deg elegant island villages to everyday items like clothing. Many of these designs are inspired by other media, especially other video games, which is why this design is inspired by the recently released and very popular Pokémon Legends: Arceus.

The latest addition to the Pokémon series, Pokémon Legends: Arceus, was released at the end of January. The game has already been shown to be massively popular and even critically praised compared to past Pokémon titles. Taking place in the cold Hisui region, the game's protagonists, Akari and Rei, are shown wearing Galaxy Team uniforms; warm outfits with thick jackets and scarves, somewhat reminiscent of the designs from the original Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum games. Pokémon Legends: Arceus has a lot of customization options as well, but every player starts with the same standard uniform.

In a Reddit post, pepper_gecko shared their interpretation of the Galaxy Team uniform from Pokémon Legends: Arceus in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, as well as a code to the outfit for anyone that wants it. The creator even went so far as to have the villager pose in front of a foggy mountain backdrop, emulating the large wilderness areas players can explore as Akari in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. One commenter asked if the original poster would create a design for Rei, the counterpart to Akari. But other commenters were quick to point out that Rei’s design would be very similar, only needing to change it from a skirt and put on a different hat.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons has a lot more in common with Pokémon Legends: Arceus than with any previous Pokémon game. While it might not have the greatest graphics, Pokémon Legends: Arceus still has great art design, which can only serve to inspire further creative endeavors from fans. The latest title also features a much more patient playstyle where players focus on crafting items and catching Pokémon to complete the Pokédex rather than battling through the ranks to become champion. It would certainly be tough to get any actual Pokémon to appear in Animal Crossing, but there are plenty of other items and designs to tackle.

Unfortunately, there will not be any further updates to Animal Crossing: New Horizons after the release of the paid DLC, Happy Home Paradise. This means that no matter how great a collaboration would be between it and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, it’s likely not going to happen. On the bright side, with Animal Crossing fans ready to recreate video games already, it’s certainly not the last Pokémon Legends: Arceus reference that will find its way onto the tropical island.
