An ment for this month’s Pokémon Go Fest 2020 was posted to YouTube earlier today and is said to be directed by Rian Johnson, in association with The Pokémon Company and developer Niantic. This trailer depicts several Pokémon Go players noticing glowing tears around their world, which they pull back like wrapping paper to reveal the lovable Pokémon creatures like Squirtle, Eevee, and even Snorlax hiding behind them. Even more impressive is the fact that The Pokémon Company was able to get such a high-profile director attached to the project, which in turn speaks volumes of the immense popularity that Pokémon GO still commands years into the game. Fans will be able to celebrate the series during Pokémon Go Fest 2020 on July 25th and 26th.
