As the holiday season kicks into high-gear, November’s community Day as a celebration of Shinx.

Pokémon GO rings in its fifth year anniversary this year, and keeps players engaged with a steady stream of new content ranging from regular events to new Pokémon. This, combined with the fact that 2021 is also the 25th anniversary of Pokémon as a franchise, resulted in a year full of Pokémon events and content. Pokémon GO held a summer event called the Pokémon GO Fest 2021, and continued adding new elements that appear to freshen the game. November will be a packed month, with the already-announced Celebration Event coinciding with the release of the remakes later this month.

Now, still missing from Pokémon GO, the game rotates through the included five generations fairly regularly.

The post also addresses other happenings, like a special event for players on November 7 from 4 PM to 7 PM local time in India; where Pokémon GO trainers can find Blitzle and Dedenne more frequently, as well as enjoy a 2x Catch Candy bonus. Players in this region will also be able to acquire avatar items inspired by the Festival of Lights, as well as Dedenne-inspired stickers - which can be acquired through PokéStops, Gifts and the in-game shop. This event will lead into the With Light Comes Shadow event that starts on November 9, and will see increased Team GO Rocket activity at PokéStops and in balloons. After Niantic brought Team GO Rocket back after a short delay earlier this year, its presence has been consistent.

Pokémon GO continues to find ways to reward players for playing; and like any live-service game, it has to work to maintain its audience and draw in new players. With the Season of Mischief bringing a new event near the end of the month, there’s likely even more on the way to celebrate Christmas and the New Year. And with a new Pokémon game launching next year, even more may be in the works.
