A new rumor suggests that now might be the worst time to buy a FF16's PlayStation 5 Exclusivity Length Confirmed
PlayStation 5: A PS5 Slim Is Rumored For 2023
A lot of fans have mocked the design and the size of the current-gen systems. The Xbox Series X was quickly compared to a dehumidifier or Bluetooth speaker, while the PS5's sheer bulk compared to other consoles led to a lot of humorous size comparison images. There were some fantastic PS5 console-size memes when the system was first revealed, and seeing one in the plastic flesh can be a factor in whether people want to buy one now, or wait for a smaller model that is more accommodating to a regular entertainment center.
The rumors of a PS5 Pro aren't too surprising, as a revised version of the system that is more powerful, has more internal storage, and is more compact seems to be a no-brainer. The release date is more surprising, as it only took three years for the PS4 Pro to release. The success of the existing PS5 line might be dissuading Sony from making a significant hardware upgrade so soon this time around, so there isn't a rush for Sony to release a PS5 Pro in 2023.
The existing PS5 model supply issues have eased up and it's a lot easier to buy a system than it was a year ago. A smaller PS5 model would be desirable to fans, without angering the people who struggled to get a system near launch, and now have a piece of outdated hardware. In any case, those who haven't been able to get a PS5 just yet might want to wait until 2023 to buy a PlayStation 5, when a smaller model will hopefully be on store shelves.
