Naomie Harris explains whether she plans to return to the Tia Dalma in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End. She did not appear in either Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides or Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.
Speaking to ComicBook, Harris clarifies if she would ever appear in Pirates of the Caribbean again after her role in the initial trilogy. Harris provides a realist response to this question, noting that her character is "very much dead." The actor raves about her time in the movie, saying that Tia Dalma is one of her favorite roles and that she "would definitely like to come back" but maintains honestly that the character will likely not be brought back.
I disintegrated into a million crabs, so I think my character is very much dead. I loved Tia Dalma, like she is one of my favorite characters of all time that I played. So I would definitely like to come back, but I think she's very much dead.

Pirates of the Caribbean Has Plans For Two Movies
Harris' recent Pirates of the Caribbean update comes after franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer shared that a reboot and a spinoff are in the works. Bruckheimer confirmed that Pirates of the Caribbean 6, which had been reportedly in the works for years, would "reboot" the franchise. As a reason for this choice, the producer said that rebooting Pirates would avoid delays caused by having to "wait for certain actors." The most recent status update for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 noted that the script was in development.
Bruckheimer has mentioned that he would love to see Depp in the role again, as of now the actor's tenure in Pirates of the Caribbean is finished.
While Pirates of the Caribbean is a reboot does provide an opportunity to make the film faster, its casting has been a source of contention. Specifically, arguments have surrounded the question of whether former Jack Sparrow star Johnny Depp would appear in the film. While Bruckheimer has mentioned that he would love to see Depp in the role again, as of now the actor's tenure in Pirates of the Caribbean is finished. This has been an upset to franchise viewers and actors alike, with Geoffrey Rush calling Depp "irreplaceable."
In addition to this rebooted version of Pirates, there is also a spinoff film in the works, involving actor-producer Margot Robbie. The exact timeline or focus of this spinoff is unknown, but it is conceivable that it could include some characters from the original films. If it were to take place chronologically before Tia Dalma's death, there would be hope for Harris to appear, but any other timeline does make a Pirates of the Caribbean return unlikely for Tia Dalma.
