Warning: This article contains SPOILERS for XO, Kitty season 2!

To All The Boys’ Peter Kavinsky, played by Noah Centineo, makes a cameo in XO, Kitty season 2 that updates fans on the original characters while helping move the story forward. Netflix’s XO, Kitty is a TV show spinoff of the To All The Boys movies, based on Jenny Han’s eponymous book series. After Margot and Lara Jean have moved away from home, Kitty maintains communication with her sisters through text and video calls. The only characters in XO, Kitty season 1 from the original trilogy are Kitty’s dad, step-mom, Kitty, and Dae (although he was recast).

However, XO, Kitty season 2 includes two big cameos from the movie trilogy – Peter Kavinsky and Margot Song-Covey. In the To All The Boys films, Kitty has a close relationship with Peter. Rather than treating her like an annoying younger sister, he treats her like she’s his own younger sibling. The XO, Kitty season 2 trailer teased Peter’s reunion with Kitty in Seoul, and his appearance lived up to expectations.

Kitty and Peter hug in XO, Kitty season 2

In XO, Kitty season 2, episode 6, Peter Kavinsky comes to Seoul on a lacrosse trip, and he makes time to see Kitty on the campus of KISS. At first glance, the cameo feels forced. Lacrosse has been widely thought of as a US sport, even though the Haudenosaunee people created it. However, lacrosse has recently gained popularity internationally, with Korea ing the increasing number of countries with collegiate and national lacrosse leagues.

Given Peter’s gift choice, it’s probable that Lara Jean is still writing letters to Peter.

During his trip, Peter visits Kitty twice. In the first instance, he and Kitty go to a boutique to buy stationary and pens as a gift for Lara Jean. Afterward, he gives her the letters that Lara Jean found from Simon to Eve. The second time, they get lattes together and talk about Min Ho’s response to the Stella video. Peter’s cameo in XO, Kitty season 2 might be the closest thing fans will ever get to To All The Boys 4 since only three books exist.

Lara Jean & Peter Are Still Happily In Love Despite Being Long Distance

During his trip, Peter catches the audience up on his relationship with Lara Jean after the To All The Boys movies. He confirms they aren’t engaged with his comment about the surprise not being a ring, but they are still together after being long-distance for three and a half years. He’s still obviously head over heels for his girlfriend. Based on the fact that they’re 22 and still in school, it’s likely he and she are in the final semester of their Bachelor’s degrees.
