After much speculation and rumors, Persona 4 Revival has been officially revealed. Revival will recreate the 2008 title, upgrading its visuals for a modern audience and bringing the classic game to fans new and old.
A first look at the Persona 4 Revival was revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase, showing some of what fans have to look forward to when the game arrives. No release window has been announced yet, but the game is now available to wishlist and will launch on Xbox Series X|S as well as on Xbox PC and the Xbox Cloud service.
Persona 4 Revival Follows Persona 3 Reload's Lead
The Trailer Shows Off Modern Graphics
Persona 4 Revival was accidentally revealed last month when several Persona 4 voice actors noted they wouldn't reprise their roles from the original game. Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced Yosuke in the original P4, wrote in a Bluesky post that he "will not be returning as Yosuke for the Persona 4 remake." This message hinted at the arrival of Revival, officially confirmed for the first time today.

Another Persona 4 Voice Actor Confirms They Won't Be A Part Of The Rumored Remake
In a post on Bluesky, Erin Fitzgerald, who played Chie in several Persona 4 games, has confirmed she will not be voicing her in the rumored remake.
The brief trailer shows several scenes featuring the tell-tale cel-shaded anime style of the Persona franchise, including a field, a Japanese shrine, and a classroom. The video then cuts to a dark and ominous tower of old TVs showing a menacing red spiral, before shifting back to Yu Narukami running through a Japanese street with rolling hills. Like Persona 3 Reload, Revival will recreate Persona 4 but probably include elements from the most recent title in the franchise, Persona 5.
Persona 4 Revival Will Be A Day One Game Release
Subscribers Will Be Able To Play The Remake As Soon As It Launches
Last year's Persona 3 remake was released on February 2 as a launch-day Game title, so subscribers could jump right in and play it as soon as it came out. Persona 4 Revival doesn't have a release window yet, but it will also be a day-one Game game.
The visuals shown off in the trailer are noted to be early development footage and are subject to change, which may indicate that fans will have to wait a bit before the game is released. If Persona 4 Revival follows the same pattern as Persona 3 Reload, it may take up to a year between its first announcement and release. Interested fans can wishlist the game now to be notified when it becomes available or receives a release date.
