One of the benefits of streaming apps is that you can watch content on multiple devices at once — but does this rule also apply to Peacock's added many live sporting events, more original programming, and is still the only place to watch The Office. It still has a ways to go before being as big as Netflix or Hulu, but there's no doubt that Peacock now comes to mind as one of the main competitors in the streaming world.
With any streaming service, there are a few questions that immediately come to mind: Can you watch shows offline? Does it multiple profiles? Are there s? Another critical question has to do with how many devices you can stream on at once. It's no problem to use Peacock as a single person on one device, but what if someone wants to have their logged into multiple devices? There's good and bad news here. The good news is that there's no limit to how many devices a Peacock can be logged in to. If someone wants to put their on a few smartphones, a laptop, and a couple of TVs, they can do all of that without a hitch.
Peacock Has A Strict Limit For Simultaneous Viewing
The bad news revolves around simultaneous streaming. As it currently stands, a Peacock can only have up to three simultaneous streams at a time. This applies to any tier of Peacock's subscription. Whether you have Peacock Free, , or Plus, the same three-device limit applies. If three people are already using the same Peacock to watch something, another stream can't be started until one of the current ones ends.
Compared to other streaming services, Peacock falls right in the middle. Netflix and Disney+ both beat Peacock by allowing s to stream content on up to four devices at once. However, Peacock's three-device cap is better than Hulu's standard limit of only two simultaneous streams. There's certainly room for Peacock to improve on this front, but it's also not the worst in this regard.
How Many Profiles Can You Have On Peacock?
According to Peacock, one can have up to six profiles, which should be enough for most households. The profiles can be any combination of adult and kids profiles. For example, s can have two adult profiles and four kids profiles. The only caveat here is that the primary holder needs to be an adult. Essentially, it means that a single Peacock needs to have at least one adult profile, and the rest can be adults, kids, or both, depending on the household.
To set up a profile, open the Peacock app and select ' Holder Profile' for the main holder. s will need to pick an avatar, and enter additional details such as name, birth year, gender, and ZIP code. It's worth noting that this information is collected only for the main profiles. s can add other profiles by selecting the '+' sign next to 'New Profile.' Now, select an avatar, enter a name, and choose whether it's a Kids profile. To edit a Peacock profile, select it and tap on the pencil icon.
