What The Peacemaker Season 2 Trailer Reveals

One of the biggest takeaways from the Peacemaker season 2 trailer is the appearance of three major Superman cast . While brief, Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner and Isabela Merced's Hawkgirl are part of Peacemaker's superhero interview for Maxwell Lord, revealing the first look at Sean Gunn's new DCU character. The trailer additionally includes Frank Grillo's Rick Flag Sr., who will also be in Superman - making him the fourth cast member from the film. His hunt for Peacemaker is showcased after the the latter killed Rick Flag Jr. in The Suicide Squad.

Towards the end, Cena's character finds himself confronted by another Peacemaker, who could either be a doppelgänger from another Earth, or a clone, as it's unclear right now who or what Cena's new lookalike character is supposed to be. While not confirmed, Peacemaker season 2 may suggest that the multiverse concept will play a factor in the show's return.

The Peacemaker season 2 footage also gives glimpses of other new cast , including Tim Meadows as ARGUS agent Langston Fleury, and Sol Rodríguez as the Batman-related character Sasha Bordeaux. While never revealing his name, a mystery character who is seen conjuring flames appears to be played by Michael Rooker, who has worked with Gunn on several projects, including the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Outside the story beats, the Peacemaker season 2 teaser trailer also shares a lot of the action elements that audiences can expect in the new season.
