Parks & Recreation debuted on NBC in 2009 and came to an end in 2015 after seven seasons. The series had a rough start, with its first season not being well-received, but it found its voice in the final episodes and the subsequent seasons were much better.

Parks & Recreation followed the daily lives of eternal optimist and perky bureaucrat Tammy 1 and Tammy 2. Parks & Recreation featured both, but the one that made the biggest impression was Tammy 2.

Played by Offerman’s real-life wife, Megan Mullally, Tammy 2 was the Deputy Director of Library Services in Pawnee, which immediately made her an enemy of the Parks Department. She was manipulating and ruthless, and could transform Ron completely in no time, which has made some fans believe that she tricked him into agreeing to take part in the documentary filmed throughout the series.

Parks & Rec Theory: Tammy 2 Knew The Documentary Would Make Ron Miserable

Nick Offerman and Megan Mulally in Ron and Tammy - Best Parks and Rec Episodes

Tammy 2 appeared in a couple of episodes, always with the intention of tempting Ron and getting him back, which she achieved a couple of times (with very intense results). Now, Ron is a libertarian, a strong advocate for small government, and values privacy to the extreme, to the point of trying to remove any and all records of his name, address, and image. Given that Parks & Recreation has a mockumentary style, it seems out of character for someone like Ron Swanson to agree being followed and filmed all the time, not only at work but in his personal life as well, making a fan believe that it was all part of a plan by Tammy 2.

The theory, posted on Parks & Recreation.
