Paramount+ is known for hosting some of the best TV shows on any streaming platform, and while it has most of the best CBS shows the day after they air, it also has a deep library of classic shows and several critically acclaimed original series as well. In April 2025, Paramount+ adds several great new movies to its service, including Clerks, Braveheart, and The Truman Show. It is also adding some new shows, including a new season of Wild 'N Out, a two-part documentary about Nick and Aaron Carter, and Inside the Factory season 8.

Paramount+ just added a ton of shows for old-school MTV fans. The streamer just added over 100 MTV Unplugged episodes, including the beloved Nirvana appearance seven months before Kurt Cobain's death and the iconic 1992 performance by Eric Clapton (via Landman was renewed for a second season. Paramount also announced that it has renewed Schoot Spirits for a third season to premiere in 2026 (via Paramount).

  • Hell on Wheels (2011-2016) [Western] - A Western drama series about the men and women who helped construct the first transcontinental railroad across the United States.
  • Lawmen: Bass Reeves (2023) [Western] - The true story of the first Black Deputy U.S. Marshall to work west of the Mississippi River.
  • Yellowjackets (2021-) [Thriller-Drama] - A high school girls' soccer team's plane crashes and they result to cannibalism for survival, while years later, this comes back to haunt the survivors.
  • prequel to Yellowstone that centers on the Dutton family as they deal with events related to Western expansion in the 20th century, the Prohibition era, and the Great Depression. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren star.
  • Landman (2024-) [American Drama] - An attorney goes to work for a wealthy old field owner only to find the West Texas oil industry is full of deadly threats.
  • The Equalizer (2021-) [Crime Drama] - A former CIA operative offers her services to help people who can't defend themselves from everyone, from billionaires to politicians to perpetrators of domestic abuse.
  • Tracker (2024-) [Action Drama] - A survivalist makes his living by helping find missing people that the law enforcement can't seem to locate or be willing to even look for.
  • Kathy Bates plays Madeline "Matty" Matlock, a widowed former lawyer determined to expose the corruption of Big Pharma.
  • Longmire (2012-2017) [Crime Drama] - At one point the highest-rated original drama on A&E, Longmire is in many ways the precursor to hits like Yellowstone.
  • Dexter: Original Sin (2024) [Crime Drama] - The prequel to the hit serial killer show Dexter shows how Dexter Morgan initially got his kill on.
  • Fire Country (2022-Present) [Drama] - Shows focusing on firefighters are always entertaining, and Fire Country mixes up the formula by focusing on a convict (Thierot's Bode Leone) who volunteers for a program that sees him tackling blazes across the wilderness of California.
  • Twin Peaks (1990-1991) [Mystery Thriller] - The surreal show laid the foundation for many series that came after, including mega-hits such as Lost and Black Mirror.
  • Blue Bloods (2010 - Present) [Crime Drama] - This slick police procedural focuses on several of the Irish Catholic Reagan family, many of whom are either serving or former police officers, and the toll the job takes on their various relationships both with each other and their partners.
  • Evil (2019-Present) [Horror Drama] - Evil is one of the best horror TV shows to arrive in the last five years, and has been described as Supernatural meets The X-Files, with the pair investigating various unsettling events and phenomena.
  • Reno 911! (2003-2022) [Crime Comedy] - Created by Robert Ben Garan, Thomas Lennon, and Kerri Kenney-Silver (who all star in the show), Reno 911! is a mockumentary-style sitcom that parodies shows like Cops in hilarious fashion.
  • Beavis and Butt-Head (1993-1997) [Animated Comedy] - Before creating King of the Hill, Mike Judge introduced the world to two of the laziest, unintelligent cartoon characters ever conceived and the pair became an instant cultural phenomenon.
  • Cheers (1982-1993) [Sitcom] - Cheers is set almost entirely at the same bar, where ever,ybody knows your name, and also includes Kelsey Grammar as Frasier Crane before he received his own spin-off, Frasier.
  • The Frasier revival finds Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) back in Boston, where he takes a professorship role at Harvard University while trying to repair his fractured relationship with his son Freddy (Jack Cutmore-Scottt).
  • several ghosts from different time periods trapped in a property with a young living couple.
  • Key & Peele (2012-2015) [Sketch Comedy] - Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele's self-titled sketch show provides a biting analysis of contemporary social concerns like racism, inequality, and politics with impressive (and hilarious) big-budget sketches.
  • FBI (2018-Present) [Crime Procedural] - Paramount+ is home to many Dick Wolf shows, and among the best of them is FBI, which — as the title suggests — focuses on the high-stakes cases of the Federal Bureau of Investigation solve.
  • Tulsa King (2022-Present) [Crime Drama] - Proof that Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan's talents extend beyond the world of cowboys, Tulsa King is a gripping organized crime thriller with Sylvester Stallone in the lead role.
  • Jeremy Renner shines in the lead role of Mike McLusky, who inherits the criminal family enterprise after playing second fiddle to his brother.
  • Criminal Minds (2005-Present) [Crime Procedural] - CBS has a reputation for producing popular police procedurals, and Criminal Minds is the jewel in the crown, focuing on the work of the FBI's behavior analysis unit.
  • NCIS (2003-Present) [Crime Procedural] - A procedural that needs no introduction, Paramount+ offers 20 seasons of the core NCIS show, 7 seasons of NCIS: New Orleans, the first season of NCIS: Sydney, and 2 seasons of NCIS: Hawaii.
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in a world where the various nations are built around the ability to manipulate, or "bend" certain elements. As the title suggests, the main focus is Aang, the only surviving airbender.
  • 20+ years of SpongeBob SquarePants seasons.
  • The Twilight Zone (1959) (1959-1964) [Anthology Sci-Fi] - The Twilight Zone features unsettling stories that ponder major scientific mysteries like the size of the universe, or singularly horrific tales that warn of the dangers of technology, acting as a precursor to shows like Black Mirror.
  • Star Trek Franchise (1966-Present) [Sci-Fi Adventure] - Few franchises are more immediately recognizable than Star Trek and Paramount+ offers new content like Star Trek: Discovery, Star Trek: Picard, and Star Trek: Prodigy, alongside classics like the 1966 Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation.
