Ms. Mowz is a masked mouse partner available in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. She is easy to miss if you aren't paying attention, as she is an optional partner. However, have her by your side, and you can find treasure in her sensitive nose while strutting about with a stylish friend.

You'll need to play through the end of Chapter 4 if you want to unlock Ms. Mowz as a new companion. You'll see her multiple times before her side quest, but she won't truly befriend you unless you complete her quest, "Elusive Badge!" The quest isn't challenging to complete, making adding Ms. Mowz to your ranks easy once you get far enough through the game.

When you finish Chapter 4 of Paper Mario: TTYD, go to Rogueport's Trouble Center, where you can pick up new side quests. One of these side quests is "Elusive Badge!". A mysterious writer has put up the quest, asking Mario to collect a badge from Hooktail Castle.

The Attack FX B badge modifies Mario's attack sound effects to mimic Ms. Mowz. You can keep the badge following the end of the side quest.

First, head to Zess T.'s roof on the second floor of Rogueport Plaza. Ms. Mowz will be waiting to direct you to Hooktail Castle. When you get to Hooktail Castle, head to the Hooktail boss battle area near the top of the castle. Make sure to bring along Madam Flurrie, whose field skill blows away parts of the world like paper flying off a table. Use her skill in the center of the room to reveal a treasure chest. This chest contains Attack FX B, currently called Elusive Badge.

With the badge in hand, head back to Ms. Mowz and give her the badge. In return, Ms. Mowz will officially the party and return the badge. While it is easy to complete this quest, it is easy to ignore in favor of other side quests in the Trouble Center if you don't know its rewards.

Although the other partners in Paper Mario: TTYD are more robust and better equipped than Ms. Mowz, she still has a few fun tricks for her devoted followers. Her most exciting ability is Kiss Thief, in which she can steal an item or badge held by a nearby enemy. This can be a fun way to get a bit of free loot and play into Ms. Mowz's character.

If you press X with her as your companion, Ms. Mowz will scan the area for treasure and twitch her nose to indicate if there is anything good nearby. This is an excellent way to find collectibles around the world without relying on guides or endless searching. Her stats and attacks may not be the best, but unlocking Ms. Mowz is essential to forming a full party and taking on bosses like Whacka in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
