Fans of more time in battle.
This isn't the first time fans have raised an outcry to bring back Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. Around last year, the popular muppet gaming YouTuber Arlo released a video expressing his wants for a remaster of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door. In it, he encouraged fans to spread the hashtag #RemasterThousandYearDoor on Twitter. For a brief time, this got the tag trending on Twitter following the video, making it clear that many people wanted to see the return of the fan favorite Mario RPG.
Now once again, fans have taken a call to arms on Twitter to make their voices heard. Comicbook reports just some of the outcries for reviving the 16 year old Gamecube game, as well as the Nintendo 64's Paper Mario. Some are even including the Wii game Super Paper Mario, an installment in the series that's mainly known for its divisive gameplay but engaging storytelling. People are making it clear what Paper Mario games they want to see, and all of them aren't quite like what Nintendo is giving them now.
The reason why this is happening now is likely because of a statement by office supplies as bosses. As such, the outcry to see a return of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door on the current gen Nintendo console has once again returned.
Whether or not this outcry will garner actual results for the future of the series is unknown, The chances are ittedly slim that Nintendo will take notice of this. But that's not stopping fans from making their voices heard on social media and expressing their love for the unique characters, story, and gameplay that Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door offered. Though that's not to say that Paper Mario: The Origami King is a bad game. Still, the ion for the older games being displayed is irable, and one can hope that the older Paper Mario games do get acknowledged in some form sometime in the future.
