Murder on Eridanos, Obsidian's final story DLC for Avowed.
In The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos, available March 17, players use the Discrepancy Amplifier to highlight "temporal inconsistencies not otherwise seen with the naked eye" (potential clues, in other words) as they try to solve the murder of Halcyon Helen, a spokesperson for the Rizzo corporation. The Amplifier jokes about players' findings in the process. Beyond new missions and characters, the expansion also adds new weapons, armor, and locations. Much of the core quest will involve interrogating witnesses, and players will ultimately be able to accuse a range of suspects, including even themselves.
For those who play The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos, the voice of the Discrepancy Amplifier may sound familiar. Judgine from the sound of the voice, it appears the actor is none other than James Urbaniak, perhaps best known as Dr. Venture from Adult Swim's Star Wars: The Old Republic as C2-D4 and other characters.
Murder On Eridanos Voice Actor's Other Roles
Urbaniak has had an expansive career in live-action as well, with his best-known starring role being cartoonist Robert Crumb in 2003's American Splendor. Some recent TV appearances have included The Trinket Man in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and a role in Apple TV+'s For All Mankind. His credits reach back as far as 1994.
Urbaniak's comedy prowess makes him the perfect fit for The Outer Worlds: Murder on Eridanos' Discrepancy Amplifier. He brings a commitment to the part that only makes the game better. Urbaniak's experience shines through, and the Discrepancy Amplifier is a standout as a result.
The Outer Worlds: Murder On Eridanos DLC is available from March 17, 2021 for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
