Warning: Spoilers for One-Punch Man Chapter #209 (JP release)

The anticipated One Punch Man chapter #209 finally sees the comeback of the beloved hero, Caped Baldy. Still, it’s not just any return, but one that reminds fans why Saitama is considered one of the strongest characters in anime and by far the mightiest in his universe.

Despite One-Punch Man’s creator's sudden illness, the newest chapter eases any fan concerns by having one of the best displays of power in the fight against Empty Void. Empty Void, who previously returned in a new form and stabbed the number 1 S-Class Hero in the chest, was interrupted in the latest chapter by the intervention of Sonic and Flash, who managed to free Blast. However, Empty Void responded with a Dimensional Slash, which wasn’t as effective as he had hoped for because of Saitama.

Saitama's Immeasurable Power Was Proven Once Again in OPM' New Chapter

In chapter #209, One-Punch Man's new villain Empty Void launches a Dimensional Slash, which has been said to ignore all size, energy, and distance, was easily cut short thanks to Saitama, who grabbed it with two fingers of his hand like it was nothing. The unfazed hero was surprised by a second slash, which he stopped with his other hand. While Saitama doesn’t know the origin of the attack, he quickly realizes it may come from the person who carved up the hero association.

However, the most impactful feat of the Caped Baldy was that by only tightening the grip he had on the dimensional slash and pulling, his power was so strong that it not only sent Empty Void to the ground, carving a hole in the process, but also Saitama ended up holding the swords of Blast's former partner. This proves how terrifyingly powerful Saitama is, as he can withstand any type of attack, even those outside reality, and why he stands above the other characters. This development shows that he can defeat Empty Void, who gave problems even to the number 1 hero.

Saitama's last appearance in One-Punch Man’s story was in the revised chapter 197 released in April this year, where he decided not to tag along with Blast and Flash and instead go eat curry udon with Manako. Despite his absence from the story, his impressive feats are always capable of amazing fans by showcasing his omnipotent power.

This latest chapter also shows how ONE and Murata’s collaboration continues to improve the original webcomic by leveling up the scale of Saitama’s power, as in the original One-Punch Man chapter 118, how the hero got the legendary demon blades happened off-screen. Saitama’s comeback has been long awaited by the fans and even more so now that the story is increasing the stakes after revealing Blast’s wife and his past with Void. Readers will need to stay tuned to see more of Saitama’s broken power level in the chapter of the Neo Heroes Saga.
