Netflix's hit live-action adaptation of One Piece isn't expected until late this year, if not sometime during the beginning of 2026, but that's not stopping promotions as interviews around the cast are making their way to the internet to make sure fans aren't forgetting this incredibly memorable franchise. The latest interview for Ty Keogh, who will be playing the role of Dalton from Drum Island, gave his insight into how the next season is shaping up to be, but what fans were really honing in on were the details in the background of his video.
Ty Keogh takes his interview in the props section, showcasing all kinds of masks for characters the One Piece fans have already seen in previous episodes as well as new ones, showing Dalton's mask for when he takes on more of an Ox form, thanks to his ability with the Ox-Ox Devil Fruit. Fans have quickly pointed out that while he shows off the mask, there's also a horrifying prop of a slain Den Den Mushi in a pool of blood and broken parts, hinting that One Piece's live action isn't afraid to depict the violence present in the series.
Netflix's One Piece Live-Action Isn't Afraid to Get Graphic
Casually Displaying Insights Into What The Next Season Will Bring
The most exciting revelations to come out of these TikTok interviews are the sneak peeks that show off more of the set going on beyond the cast answering a few questions. Fans already got to look at some of the new areas that will be shown off, including how Netflix pulls together Loguetown, but Keogh's interview in particular depicted a Den Den Mushi sliced in half with its body scattered around it.
As a shōnen, One Piece is known for its action scenes that can often result in some serious damage to surrounding areas and other characters, especially once the battles get to be more intense. By the looks of the remains of the Den Den Mushi, season 2 is shaping up to take its depiction of violence and graphic content to the next level to showcase just how dangerous this world can really be.

"Zoro Is a Lot Deadlier": One Piece Season 2 Is Ready to Take Luffy's Swordsman to the Next Level
Netflix's live-action One Piece season 2 is setting up one of its most beloved characters, Zoro, to have the best fight scenes possible.
Drum Island alone is going to be a captivating sequence of events with the introduction of the Zoan Fruits as well as characters who can transform their appearance to the grizzly details taking place by the illustrious group, Baroque Works. It's hard to say who has taken out their frustration on a Den Den Mushi with a blade, but given that it's a Marine version, it could be the work of the corp or Baroque Works, who still technically work under the World Government.
One Piece's Live-Action Season 2 Is Expected To Tackle Darker Subjects
Death of a Den Den Mushi is Just the Start
Between a town full of bandits, an abandoned whale's story at the entrance to the Grand Line, and a neglectful tyrannic king on the run, Netflix's One Piece live-action is shaping up to depict the harsh realities Luffy's journey will entail in full view. Just like the Straw Hats, fans will be in for a ride of dramatic rises and falls as the main cast grows stronger, but not without necessary sacrifices.
