One Piece episode #1130 offered an exciting teaser for what’s to come in the past of the former Warlord, which will bring to life a younger version of Gol D. Roger and his crew to shine a light on one of the biggest mysteries in the series, the Incident of God Valley.

Fans were already familiar with the name of God Valley before, as it was mentioned by Sengoku in episode #958, being one of the incidents that influenced the world of One Piece and brought together many of the most relevant characters in the series, including Gol D. Roger and his crew.

Fans Get a New Look at a Younger Gol D. Roger

The Incident of God Valley Comes to Life in the Latest One Piece Teaser

Gol D. Roger's younger appearance, revealed in the teaser of One Piece episode #1130, marks a clear contrast from his more rugged and mature iteration that fans had seen throughout the story. Without his iconic mustache, shorter hair, softer facial features, and his distinguished straw hat, it’s much easier to highlight just how much Luffy resembles him. Since the short preview of Gol D. Roger arriving in God Valley could even as an older version of Luffy. Even Roger's clothing color palette feels like a deliberate effort by the anime production team for fans to compare him with Luffy.

One Piece episode 1129 just introduced one of the most shocking moments in the series, which served as a powerful reminder of how dark the story is.

Additionally, in One Piece episode #1130, fans will also get to see the rest of Roger's crew, including his vice captain, Silvers Rayleigh. However, what makes this appearance so intriguing is that the Incident of God Valley happened before Gol D. Roger became the pirate king and played a crucial role in his relationship with Garp. Furthermore, One Piece's new episode is set to cover chapter #1096, and as the anime adaptation often includes additional scenes, it could offer a broader perspective of the God Valley incident than what was seen in the manga.

One Piece Is Slowly Revealing Its Greatest Mysteries

The teaser for the One Piece episode #1130 (shared by @pewpiece on X) gives a sneak peek of iconic One Piece characters like Gloriosa and Charlotte Linlin, later known as Big Mom. This is to be expected, as they formed part of the Rocks Pirates, a dangerous crew led by the infamous Rocks D. Xebec, and as revealed in the story, they faced the Marines, led by then-Vice iral Monkey D. Garp, in God Valley.

One Piece episode #1129 already gave another perspective to the incident as it was unveiled that the island of God Valley was the setting picked by the Celestial Dragons for the Native Hunting Competition, which adds to the long list of despicable acts committed by them and allowed by the World Government.

Nevertheless, One Piece's new episode will also showcase important characters like Kaido, Whitebeard, and Stussy fighting against Monkey D. Garp and Gol D. Roger, and might even showcase the proportion of fights which have been stated to be so destructive that they make the island disappear. So fans should tune in for more revelations in The Egghead Arc, where ing characters like Bartholomew Kuma have returned to the front and whose unfortunate fate will be of great relevance in the story.
