Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer have reignited their celebrity with their successful podcast, The Office Ladies. Every week the ladies hop online to breakdown each episode of The Office with never heard before stories and tidbits. But Jenna and Angela are much more than co-workers on a hit TV show — they're best friends.
After meeting each other in 2009, the two women slowly became closer and closer as the season went on and continue to grow together now that the series is over. There's more about their celebrity friendship that fans want to know, too.
They Had A Hard Time Filming Scenes Together
Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey have said it multiple times on their podcast: the can't work together without laughing. The two women laughed that it would take too long to get through Office scenes together so the writers wouldn't write too many scenes where Pam and Angela had long dialogue. The two couldn't take each other seriously. Now that the two women are on a podcast, they can giggle without judgment.
Their Kids Have Playdates Together
Jenna and Angela are more than just actresses, they're family women. Jenna Fischer has been married to director Lee Kirk since 2010 and the two had two children together, Harper (6) and Weston (8). Angela, on the other hand, has been married to actor Josh Snyder since 2016 and the two combined their pre-started families.
Angela had a daughter, Isabele (12), with her ex-husband Warren Lieberstein, and Josh has two children, Cade (10) and Jack (12) with his ex-girlfriend. With five children between them—and two husbands in the same industry—the two have playdates and get-togethers often as families.
They Always Dreamed Of Having Their Own Talkshow
After listening to The Office Ladies, it's easy to see why Angela and Jenna are best friends. The conversation always flows so easily between them. They have so much in common but also learn from each other. Before the two started their podcast with Earwolf, the two were hoping for a talk show. According to The New York Times, Jenna said that Rainn always assumed the two besties would have a talk show one day. She continued saying, "We have dreamed for many years of one day taking over the fourth hour of The Today Show. I’m going to keep putting it out there until it’s a reality."
The Ladies Spend Holidays Together!
It's not known how close Jenna and Angela live from each other but Angela does live in the same neighborhood as another Office co-star: Creed! Angela shares pictures of cookouts and late-night chit-chats with her husband and Creed often on social media.
Adorably, she wrote that the two of them had too many glasses of wine and left voicemails on Jenna's phone! But the holidays are a different story. Both women said on the podcast that they have each other over for the holidays. Jenna even baked special bread for the occasion!
They Hilariously Spied On Meryl Streep
How does Meryl Streep connect with Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer? Like every person who loves cinema, Jenna and Angela were diehard fans of Meryl Streep and saw their former co-star and friend Amy Adams speaking to her at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards. Using Amy as their "in," the two ladies decided to walk up to the two women laughing. Fischer said, "I don't know what I thought, I just knew that we had to seize the moment." Luckily for them, as they were meeting Meryl, a photographer came by and snapped a picture of the moment!
Jenna Spoke At Angela's Wedding
In 2016, Angela and her fiance Josh married. They released their wedding photos after the main event and everything looked gorgeous. As Angela's best friend, Jenna was in attendance and even made a speech at the wedding! According to Angela's Instagram, her "toast was hilarious and so sweet!"
They Want To Another Popular TV Show
Is The Office the last TV show we'll see Jenna and Angela together? It's not known, especially with their dedication to their podcast but there is one reality television show the ladies wouldn't mind ing: The Amazing Race. According to Angela, "Jenna [Fischer] and I have joked about being on The Amazing Race together! I don't think we'd win. We would probably be a hot mess, but we'd have fun," she said. Jenna, on the other hand, thought the two would do better than they thought. After all, they know exactly how the other operates and would be able to offer what the other couldn't.
They Didn't Expect To Become Such Good Friends
When the two women met in 2009 at the start of The Office, Jenna was 35 and Angela was 38. With both women being in their mid to late thirties, they weren't expecting The Office to be picked up by the network. Angela said, "We both say we didn't expect to make such a close friendship later in life. But we're so close and she's one of my life anchors." After the show got picked up for the long-haul and they became season regulars, their friendship only grew.
They Like To Get Together And Reenact Old Scenes
Angela and her husband Josh have an online cooking show called Cooking With Josh and Ang. In it, the couple has fun in the kitchen trying new recipes and working together to make the perfect treat. In one episode, the couple invited The Office. In the video, Angela and Jenna can't stop laughing as they try to get through their lines. Jenna even sheds a tear at one point!
They Both Have The Same Favorite Moment From The Series
With so many iconic episodes and moments together, it's hard to decide which moment is the best. However, during an episode of The Office Ladies, both Angela and Jenna agreed that one scene (thus far) tugged on their heartstrings. In the episode "The Carpet," Jim is forced to work near Kelly for the day while Michael sat at his desk. As Pam is leaving work for the day, Jim tries waving but Pam doesn't see. It was weird to have no interaction between Jim and Pam but when Jim gets back to his desk, he learns that Pam left him a plethora of voicemails. Both women called it one of the "sweetest" moments in the series.
