Facebook-owned VR company Oculus is preparing to host a big event later this April that will outline some major new titles coming to its VR headsets. Oculus has been making noteworthy acquisitions in the last year or so, and it seems ready to showcase some of what its newly bought-out talent has been working on.

The Oculus event will feature new game announcements from studios like Star Wars: Tales From Galaxy's Edge and Pistol Whip are also confirmed for the event. "This is our first event wholly dedicated to the stellar games across the Oculus Platform. You can expect new updates to fan-favorite titles, never-before-seen footage from some unreleased games, and a few surprises in store," said Oculus in a press release.

The Oculus event will be held on April 21 at 3 PM PT on Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook, but it's not clear how long the event will last.  At a similar event last fall, Oculus confirmed it was working with Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond, but was met with mixed reactions from fans and critics alike. Whether or not Ubisoft's third-person stealth/action franchises are a better fit for Oculus and VR remains to be seen.
