Nvidia’s latest low-cost GPU, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, will be available to purchase soon. Coming with great performance and an even lower price than the RTX 3070, this is certain to be a popular graphics card, making it all the more important for interested consumers to be ready for this imminent launch.
The RTX 30-Series brings the largest generational leap in performance that Nvidia has ever provided to the gaming community. From the top-of-the-line RTX 3090 that can render 8K resolution at 60 frames per second to the RTX 3070, which matches the graphics power of the previous generation's best, Nvidia wowed the world with the announcement of Ampere architecture. Even though the RTX 20-Series has ray-tracing abilities, Nvidia super-charged the feature on the new RTX 30-Series cards.
Nvidia has now added a fourth card to the lineup, the frustration with failed ordering of the RTX 3080, Nvidia stated it would not be selling direct, but rather through Best Buy. While there have been reports of pre-orders from some overseas websites, that doesn't seem to be an option in the United States.
RTX 3060 Ti Details & Features
Nvidia notes that for a limited time and in certain countries, the purchase of a new GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GPU will qualify for a one-year subscription to the GeForce Now cloud gaming service. This is normally $5 per month, so it’s a $60 savings all on its own. That's a nice bonus on what already looks like a sweet deal for a fast graphics card. The RTX 3060 Ti features excellent 1440p gameplay with ray tracing and AI-enhanced DLSS quality. In fact, it beats the RTX 2080 Super in graphics, ray tracing and rendering, while matching its 8-gigabytes of RAM.
Nvidia's GeForce RTX 3060 Ti costs just $399 and is faster than the previous generation’s sold out worldwide, the RTX 3060 Ti is likely to go fast as well. Nvidia should be stocking more this time, as it had an opportunity to prepare for the huge demand. However, those that are eager to lay hands upon an Ampere GPU, may want to make the purchase quickly, if that is even possible this time around. For the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Founder’s Edition, it may be best to go directly through Best Buy.
