Nintendo is hosting two live streams in the days following the anticipated April 2 Direct for the Switch 2. The streams will showcase hands-on gameplay for Switch 2 titles and showcase new games that players can expect to be released along with or immediately after the console's debut.

An X post from Nintendo of America revealed that Nintendo Treehouse, the company's localization division, will host the streams. In the past, Nintendo Treehouse hosted streams featuring gameplay deep dives of Nintendo games after Nintendo Direct presentations at events like E3. The first Nintendo Treehouse: Live stream is scheduled for Thursday, April 3, at 10 AM ET, and the second stream is set for Friday, April 4, at the same time. Nintendo also clarified that Wednesday's Switch 2 Direct, which streams at 9 AM ET, will be about an hour long.

Nintendo has understandably been tight-lipped about its plans for the Switch 2, consistently responding to media inquiries and questions about the console by telling people to tune into the Direct on April 2 and saying they have no idea about the Switch 2's capabilities or specifications. As such, no games specifically for the Switch 2 have been formally announced, though the company did share some releases for the original Switch console during its March 27 Direct.

The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct airs tomorrow, but with fans’ expectations reaching boiling point, is it possible for it to live up to all this hype?

With leaks about the console's capabilities pretty sparce, fans and developers alike are clamoring for information about the Switch 2, which puts Nintendo in a fantastic position for the Treehouse Live presentations. Speculation On New Releases Is Plentiful

The lack of forthcoming information from Nintendo has led fans to speculate on what could be coming next. The only guarantee players have is that predict that both titles will receive Switch 2 versions, so it would be logical to highlight these releases as well with live gameplay demonstrations.

Players also remain hopeful about announcements for longstanding Nintendo franchises like The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing, or perhaps a new 3D Super Mario game, but those seem more like stretches. Regardless of what gameplay we get to see, it will be the careful result of planning from Nintendo, and hopefully players will learn more from the Treehouse team about how games like the new Mario Kart will function. There's no doubt that whatever Nintendo showcases will be special, and fans only need to wait a little while longer to see what's coming for the Nintendo Switch 2.
