Showrunner David E. Kelley returns to adapt Moriarty’s work once again, following his success with Big Little Lies, which also starred Nicole Kidman. The show's second chapter is expected to introduce a darker, possibly more "gothic" tone, hinted at by Bartlett, who is set to play Brian, a former children’s TV host.

However, one of the biggest questions remains: how does Masha return after her arrest in the season 1 ending of Nine Perfect Strangers? Nonetheless, if the show can successfully maintain its mystery, psychological depth, and shocking twists, Nine Perfect Strangers could cement itself as a hit anthology series.
