Amy Adams' 2024 horror-comedy movie is about to have its streaming debut. Adams' first major role was in Steven Spielberg's 2002 movie Catch Me If You Can as Brenda Strong, a naive hospital nurse that Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) falls in love with, although the relationship is ultimately doomed. More recognition, including Adams' first Academy Award nomination, followed her performance in the 2005 comedy-drama Junebug. In the 2007 musical movie Enchanted, Adams cemented herself as a leading actor through her portrayal of Giselle.
Many of the projects considered Amy Adams' best movies would come in the years that followed, including the science-fiction drama Arrival directed by Denis Villeneuve. Between playing Amelia Earhart in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian, Lois Lane in the DC Extended Universe, and Sister James in the drama Doubt, Adams proved to be an actor who could excel in any genre. She also made her mark on prestige television by playing Camille Preaker in HBO's adaptation of Gillian Flynn's Sharp Objects.
Amy Adams' Nightbitch Is Coming To Streaming
She Received A Golden Globe Nomination For Her Performance
Adams' 2024 movie Nightbitch are mixed, with the movie currently holding a 59% Tomatometer score and a 65% Popcornmeter score. While many critics had issues with various elements of the movie, the majority of reviews praised Adams' performance, for which she received a Golden Globe Award nomination.
Amy Adams' fellow nominees are Cynthia Erivo, Demi Moore, Karla Sofía Gascón, Mikey Madison, and Zendaya.
As reported by TVLine, Nightbitch will become available to stream on Hulu as of December 27. This streaming premiere provides an opportunity to see Adams' performance in Nightbitch before the Golden Globe Awards ceremony airs on January 5 and before the Academy Award nominations are revealed on January 17.
Our Take On Nightbitch's Streaming Release
It Can Give Her More Exposure Before The Awards Ceremonies
While I wish Nightbitch had a longer and less limited theatrical release, I am glad that it will be available to stream soon so that the movie can gain more recognition. Given how well-known Adams is, the movie should have received more attention. This will hopefully change once it can be streamed on Hulu and audiences can see Nightbitch's ending for themselves. Beyond providing more recognition, streaming Nightbitch can create more buzz around Amy Adams potentially winning a Golden Globe for it and being nominated for an Academy Award as well.
