shows like Friends, Seinfeld, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, currently the longest-running live-action series in American primetime TV history. 2024 has been a strong year for the network, thanks in no small part to the strong performance of its streaming platform Peacock, and further success could come in 2025.

Per Deadline, NBC has dropped the release dates for 15 shows for 2025, including some of the network's flagship titles, and exciting new premieres. Among these titles are returns from the One Chicago and Law & Order franchises, in the form of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, & Chicago P.D., Law & Order, and Law & Order: SVU, respectively. There are also release dates for Happy's Place, Lopez vs. Lopez, St. Denis Medical, Night Court, Brilliant Minds, The Irrational, Found, The Hunting Party, Grosse Point Garden Society, and spinoff Suits: LA. What This Means For NBC In 2025

There Are Some Exciting New Creative Choices

Some of the shows listed are mainstays on the network, with the franchises making up a large portion of NBC's viewership. There is a good chance that One Chicago and Law & Order will continue to produce compelling and exciting shows that capture attention and keep ratings at a consistent high. However, NBC has clearly understood the need to evolve in other areas, and some interesting new shows are getting their premieres that could be unexpected hits for the network right off the bat.

Are Any Suits Original Cast Returning For The LA Spinoff?

With so few details available on the Suits: LA spinoff, questions come up about whether the original cast will reprise their roles.

Namely, The Hunting Party, Suits: LA, and Grosse Point Garden Society are the three shows getting their series premieres in 2025, and each provides a very different prospect for viewers. The Hunting Party is a crime procedural, Suits: LA is a legal drama, and Grosse Point Garden Society is a crime drama. This nicely diverse trio of shows could emerge as the next big thing for NBC, while returns for hit shows, like Melissa Rauch's comedy Night Court and St. Denis Medical, have a wealth of creative talent that could help the network have an even better 2025 performance.

Our Take On How This Will Shape NBC's Future

Expect Strong Dramas In The Coming Years

These release dates suggest that NBC is focused on bringing more exciting and diverse dramas to the forefront, and this could shape the majority of their slate moving forward. While the network is well-known for its successful and long-running sitcoms, such as the legendary comedy remake The Office, it also has a proven track record of strong dramatic shows, and this trend seems to continue. I think all 15 titles could flourish in 2025, and I would not be surprised to see all renewed for more seasons in the future and become a key part of NBC's broadcast strategy.
