It has been three years since the release of the last game in the series, NieR: Automata. The Final Fantasy XIV crossover with NieR through a patch released last year.
Now, Square Enix has confirmed a remastered version for the 2010 title, NieR Replicant. The remake will be made for current generation platforms: PS4, Xbox One and PC. No official release date has been confirmed yet, but the trailer released by Square Enix on YouTube showcases the iconic scenes from the original release in a flashback style of imagery. The remastered version will be called NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... The original story put players in the role of a young protagonist looking to find a cure for his little sister by fighting his way through the dark and agonizing post-apocalyptic world which has been overrun by a mysterious disease and ominous monsters.
