The lack of tradition surrounding her appointment made her job harder from the start, but against all odds Clea has risen above those challenges, taken on challengers, and even faced off against death itself. Clea Strange is already regarded as a powerful sorcerer, but her time as the new Sorcerer Supreme is pushing her farther than she's ever gone before. Her choice for the magical role may have come as a surprise, but Clea Strange is making it clear Doctor Strange made the right decision.
her main goal as the newest Sorcerer Supreme is to bring her ex-husband back to life, so in a race against death itself she pushed the limits of what was possible until she accomplished her goal. Even going up against dead and reanimated heroes, proving she could dominate the dead as well as life.
Clea Strange Fought For The 'Supreme' Title And Won
The first task given to Clea Strange was to go up against Victor Von Doom himself in Strange #1. Against all odds, and even beating the surprise appearance, she defeated Doom with her own raw power. Her strength scared the villain--a feat in itself--sending him running off with his tail between his legs, cursing her name, and promising to try again. More magical challengers arose and fell, with even the Vishanti yielding to her claim to the position.
Beating Doctor Doom and a whole magical cartel in one afternoon is impressive enough, but her resolve to bring back Stephen Strange pit her against death and her entities. It seemed like an impossible task to bring him back, but Clea was determined. So her first mission was to battle the reanimated hero called Thunderstrike in Strange #2. Alongside the Harvestman, she fought the being and won, but wouldn't let the Harvestman go without dragging him into the mess of reviving Doctor Strange. Her grit and resolve makes her a powerful foe and an extreme Sorcerer Supreme who refused to lie down and take anything without a proper fight. Love and ion are her motivations, and they are the most powerful emotions anyone could have control over.
All of these feats were just the beginning for Clea Strange's journey, and in the end she managed to drag her husband back from the grave using her own strong resolve. Not many can say they beat death and Victor Von Doom himself, but she certainly can. Even if she's not the best Sorcerer Supreme because of her brutality, Clea Strange is in ther running for Marvel's strongest to hold the position.
