Anime fans who have been missing My Hero Academia are in luck, because the studio behind the superhero shonen is gearing up to release its next big project. Studio Bones' new anime series is likely to be its biggest hit yet, and it will be streaming on Crunchyroll in July 2025.
Gachiakuta, based on the original manga by Kei Urana, is an action manga unlike anything fans have seen before. Coming from a studio with a proven track record like Bones, the anime adaptation of Gachiakuta will undoubtedly be an incredible hit.

The trailer for Gachiakuta was released on YouTube, giving fans a glimpse into the compelling, dark story. Rudo, the main character, is sent to a horrific underworld known as the Pit when he is wrongfully accused of a murder he did not commit. In this new, disheartening environment, Rudo must use his powers, not only to keep himself alive, but to escape and achieve justice. The series is packed with exhilarating fight scenes between Rudo and terrifying creatures called Trash Beasts, who lurk around every corner, ready to attack anyone unlucky enough to stumble upon them.

The Next Shonen Mega-Hit Just Got Bigger With a New Anime From the Studio Behind Hero Academia
Gachiakuta is one of the best shonen manga to come out in recent years, and an anime adaptation by Bones will make it even bigger.
The team behind Gachiakuta's anime adaptation is filled with talented creators. The director, Fumihiko Suganuma, previously worked on Train to the End of the World and the character designer, Satoshi Ishino, contributed his skills to projects like Date A Live and Tokyo Mew Mew New. Furthermore, the writer of Gachiakuta's composition, Hiroshi Seko, worked on a host of other popular shonen series, including Dan Da Dan, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, and Mob Psycho 100. Studio Bones' productions are also known for their gorgeous musical scores, and Taku Iwasaki, who worked on Shin Kamen Rider and Bungo Stray Dogs, is producing Gachiakuta's score.

Gachiakuta's manga has already been recognized worldwide as a masterpiece since its first appearance in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine, receiving the 2022 Next Manga Awards' Global Special Prize, a testament to its quality.
