Netflix teases the arrival of several major movie announcements tomorrow in a new, star-studded video. With so many streaming services vying for viewers' attention, it's easy to forget who started it all. Netflix redefined the way people watch their movies and television shows when it began producing its own content and accumulating popular projects for audiences' streaming pleasure. Even now, it remains the most popular streamer out there.

With the coronavirus pandemic having slashed typical distribution methods like movie theaters, Netflix truly shined in 2020. Many people remained inside their homes throughout the year, and they turned to streamers for their entertainment. Netflix boasted several major debuts last year, such as those for Extraction, The Old Guard, and Midnight Sky right at the end. Beyond that, Netflix looks to stake a major claim in this year's Oscar race, with critical darlings like Da 5 Bloods and The Trial of the Chicago 7 being mentioned with frequency.

Hot off their successful 2020, Netflix is looking to hype up their 2021 slate. On social media, Netflix shared a video jam-packed with big name actors. The two minute video shows the stars texting back and forth in a crowded group chat that later gets named "Netflix Film Fam 2021." Accompanying the video is the message, "Why are the most famous people in the world on a group text? Because we have LOTS of big news to share with you tomorrow..." Clearly, fans should expect a lot from Netflix tomorrow. Check out the video down below.

Based on the familiar faces involved with the video, one can make some guesses about what movies will get some attention on Tuesday. For example, Dwayne Johnson and Gal Gadot are likely on hand for Red Notice, perhaps with a trailer or release date. The same can be said for The Kissing Booth 3 (with Joey King) and To All the Boys: Always and Forever, Lara Jean (Lana Condor and Noah Centineo). Chris Hemsworth's presence might seem like an Extraction 2 announcement is on the way, but it's just as likely Netflix will say something about sci-fi flick Spiderhead. Dave Bautista looks to be on hand for Army of the Dead, while Amy Adams will presumably hype up her Netflix-acquired The Woman in the Window.

In the video, Lin-Manuel Miranda references directing something, so expect an update on his Tick, Tick... Boom!. Idris Elba has the movie Concrete Cowboy coming up in 2021, but he'll also be in The Harder They Fall with Regina King and Jonathan Majors, both of whom appeared in the video like Elba. Either one of those projects could get a shout out tomorrow. Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer will likely discuss Thunder Force, though McCarthy also has The Starling coming up for Netflix. Halle Berry will release her directorial debut Bruised on Netflix sometime this year, so that's likely what she's promoting. Jason Momoa, meanwhile, has two contenders: Sweet Girl and Slumberland, though the former seems more likely. Finally, Jennifer Garner also has two options, though Yes Day will probably the one getting attention over The Adam Project. Needless to say, Netflix has a lot planned for the future, and they'll be peeling back the curtain on what to expect tomorrow.
