Boruto: Two Blue Vortex’s Himawari paves the way to usurp her father Naruto as the Nine-Tailed Fox’s most perfect and compatible host. Naruto’s daughter has long been hinted at as being stronger than what is perceived by those around her. Not only did she unlock her Byakugan at the young age of three, but a formidable character like Daemon even detected her hidden strength pre-time skip.
Chapters #10-11 highlighted Himawari’s potential as Himawari unleashed Bijuu Bombs without restriction and displayed remarkable healing abilities to both herself and her allies. Unlike her father, Himawari doesn’t have to worry about the Tailed Beast’s corruption and anger, making her a great future asset in the fight against the Divine Trees.
Himawari and Kurama’s Synergy Is Impressive But Needs Fine-Tuning
Already Leagues Ahead Of Her Predecessors
One of the things that became clear in Jura and Himawari’s fight was that while she was able to draw out the Nine-Tail’s chakra and perform miraculous feats, it still wasn’t enough. This result is to be expected given the incarnated Ten-Tailed Beast's abilities versus the youngest Uzumaki relying on Kurama’s power for the first time. While Himawari may have had to retreat with Boruto, her evolution still made Jura bring out a small portion of his true strength.
In addition to the Bijuu Bombs, Himawari can deploy a healing technique similar to Naruto’s, with Kurama’s chakra used to cure major injuries, such as her broken leg and Inojin’s wounds.
Out of the gate, Himawari was able to use the full extent of Kurama’s chakra without losing control of herself as displayed in the familiar fox details on her face and the representation of the tails in her hair. While Naruto had to work his way up to gaining more tails in battle, his daughter was able to use all nine in just her beginner form. Her loss against Jura could be a result of the Tailed Beast’s reduced form, therefore scaling back their combined forces.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex's Big New Twist Was Foreshadowed a Decade Ago in Naruto
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter #8 ended with a big twist with Himawari, but Naruto already set up the foundations for it over a decade ago.
The battle against Jura surprisingly shows very little of what the new Jinchuuriki duo is capable of. Although Himawari has already sured Naruto by utilizing the Tailed Beast’s ultimate attack, what is left now is seeing how she develops her fighting prowess. There is still more to be explored with her Byakugan and hand-to-hand combat, as well as the anticipated process of Kurama’s possible growth.
Himawari’s Potential Knows No Bounds
The Rise Of A New Prodigy
Naruto’s daughter is in a better position than any Jinchuuriki before her, having not only Kurama’s cooperation but the right alignment in both her genetics and chakra base to him as full power. Being part of the Hyūga and Uzumaki Clan has given her the perfect lineage to host a Tailed Beast, specifically the Nine-Tailed Fox. Himawari may not have been able to go all out in her first battle, but she likewise has no restrictions and only demonstrated a portion of what she may be capable of in the future.
With the Divine Trees moving to create incarnations of strong shinobi, Himawari’s evolution has come at the most opportune time. Kawaki’s recent confrontation against Amado to raise his offense levels has continued the theme of what may be a much-needed upgrade for the next generation in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, and the Uzumakis are leading the way.
