My Hero Academia is getting ready for the advent of its final season, and fans are finally getting a good look at All Might's new armor, which will factor in heavily. The new promo image gives one of the most detailed looks at his armored appearance yet.

All Might's armor was only revealed in the final episode of My Hero Academia's seventh season, and will likely play a big part in the season eight premiere. Despite not having a Quirk, All Might bravely donned this technological marvel of a suit to do battle with All for One, who was otherwise on his way to meet with Shigaraki in what would be a catastrophic scenario. All for One can't resist the chance to fight All Might, however, and breaks off from his original destination, showing down with the Quirkless hero as he aged in reverse.

Armored All Might's Suit Looks Incredible in Anime Style

The Suit's Details Make It Impressive

The official My Hero Academia X (formerly Twitter) released a promotional image of Armored All Might, giving a very clear look at the suit. All Might can be seen standing boldly, wearing the black armor with gold accents. It's interesting to see that the armor has a mechanical-looking cape, as All Might frequently wore capes with some of his past costumes. While the image doesn't provide much insight into the armor's abilities, it should be pretty clear to most by now that its functions are themed after the students of Class 1-A. All Might doesn't cut quite as imposing a figure in this armor as his muscle form, but he's still someone you wouldn't want to mess with.

There are some elements of the armor that aren't visible here. In the anime and manga, pieces of All Might's car, Hercules, also come off and surround him, offering some additional protection. The look evolves a bit throughout the fight as it takes damage and pieces get replaced, although All Might only has so much extra material. All Might can also be seen flashing his signature grin, which is sure to drive All for One mad.

The Suit is Powerful, But How Durable Is It?

All Might may have All for One's attention now, but withstanding his arsenal of powerful Quirks was difficult even for All Might in his prime, much less now. The armor provides a good degree of protection, but it isn't infinitely durable; even in its debut appearance, the armor was already buckling under All for One's attacks. With All for One de-aging at a rapid rate and All Might's armor falling apart with each blow, this battle has become one of attrition--who will still be standing when the other's time is out?

There's certainly a lot of tension surrounding All Might headed into the final season, as he's arguably in the greatest danger he's ever been in here. One thing's for sure, though: My Hero Academia season eight can't get here fast enough.
