Bat-Family are some of the greatest hand-to-hand fighters in the DC Universe. It's difficult to find a group of crime fighters who are as prepared as Bruce and his "children," but over the years, Batman's family has gathered people who are far more powerful than anyone could have suspected.

Every member of the Bat-Family has undergone rigorous training to become incredibly competent fighters under Batman's tutelage. Few people on Earth can match the skill and speed of Dick Grayson or Jason Todd, but over the last decade, the Bat-Family has gathered a ton of people who are far more powerful than usual. From martial arts masters to people with legitimate superpowers, the Gotham character introduced in the last decade have already made Bat-Family history.

10 Maps Mizoguchi Is Batman's Latest Robin

Gotham Academy #1 by Brenden Fletcher, Becky Cloonan, Karl Kerschl, Geyser, Dave McCaig, and Steve Wands

Mia Mizoguchi, also known as Maps, is a young girl who attends Gotham Academy. Mia is absolutely obsessed with Batman; she was introduced as a huge fangirl. She once climbed to the top of the GD building just to turn on the Bat-Signal and wait for Batman, all so she could show him her fan art. This obsession also led Maps to want nothing more than to be Batman's next Robin, and she eventually got the part.

Batman Officially Crowns Gotham's New Robin, In a Moment No-One Expected

It's always a big event when a new Robin appears on the scene, and now Batman has confirmed that he considers one new hero to be a true Robin.

While Maps doesn't have any real combat skills to speak of, she's a pretty decent detective and has an insatiable curiosity and willingness to help people. All of these traits have made Maps one of Batman's most endearing Robins - even if she isn't that useful in a fight.

9 Clownhunter Is One of the Bat-Family's Newest

Batman #96 by James Tynion IV, Jorge Jiménez, Tomeu Morey, and Clayton Cowles

Bao Pham was the son of restaurant owners in Gotham City, who embraced the unfortunate risk of running a public place in Gotham. One day, the Joker and Harley Quinn arrive and demand a meal. Instead of paying for the meal, the Joker kills Bao's parents before heading off into the city again to cause more chaos. Still being a young kid, Bao believes that Batman might eventually stop the Joker for good and save everyone from his madness.

After five years of the Joker killing anyone he comes across, Bao realizes that Batman would never do what has to be done, so he hits the streets with a baseball bat merged with a batarang and takes on the name of Clownhunter. Clownhunter is surprisingly resilient and has decent fighting skills, but he's a long way from getting his revenge on the Joker.

8 Bluebird Was a Major Bat-Family Member During the New 52

Batman #2 by Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, Jonathan Glapion, FCO Plascencia, Richard Starkings, and Jimmy Betancourt

Harper Row technically first appeared in 2011, but the costumed appearance of her alter ego, Bluebird, makes her debut in 2014. Like many in Gotham City, Harper was inspired by Batman to try and make a difference. Harper discovered that Batman had modified the Gotham City electrical grid to benefit himself, and she made further edits to his system to benefit him even further.

After Batman nearly dies from being trapped in the Court of Owls maze, Harper is the one who saves him and revives him with a homemade taser after he flat-lines. While Harper isn't the greatest hand-to-hand fighter, she's a brilliant inventor and engineer, capable of building all kinds of dangerous weaponry. Though she's since retired from vigilante life, she still answers the call when the Bat-Family needs help.

7 Jarro Was a Surprisingly Powerful Bat-Family Member

Justice League #10 by Scott Snyder, Francis Manapul, and Tom Napolitano

Jarro is a clone of Starro the Conqueror that Batman had once embraced as an ally. Considering Starro is one of the most powerful telepaths in the entire universe, Jarro was raised as a force for good who would hopefully use his powers to help the Justice League.

Jarro is pretty weak overall, having almost no physical abilities at all, but his telepathic powers are quite strong - not nearly as strong as Starro, but strong enough to make a difference when it counts. If Jarro ever grows into a full Star Conqueror, he would be the strongest member of the Bat-Family, full-stop, and potentially stronger than any Justice League member as well.

6 Gray Wolf Is a Surprising New International Addition to the Bat-Family

Batman 2022 Annual #1 by Ed Brisson, John Timms, Rex Lokus, and Clayton Cowles

During the period when Lex Luthor tried to create his own Batman Incorporated, one of the many Batmen he had employed was Gray Wolf. Gray Wolf was the defender of Kazbek, but after a disaster occurred, Lex Luthor pulled all and left Gray Wolf alone to deal with it. This state of affairs eventually resulted in Gray Wolf running into the real Batman Incorporated, which was being led by Ghost-Maker.

After dealing with his Luthor problems, Gray Wolf was offered a spot on the team, and he proved to be a powerful member. He was capable of defeating three of Batman Inc. by himself all at the same time, a feat so impressive that even Ghost-Maker commented on it. While his time in Batman Inc. was short, Gray Wolf continually proved himself to be one of the best hand-to-hand fighters that the group had ever seen.

5 The Bat-Man of China Is A Genius Inventor

New Super-Man #1 by Gene Luen Yang, Viktor Bogdanovic, Richard Friend, Hi-Fi, and Dave Sharpe

One of the more surprising additions to the extended Bat-Family was Wang Baixi, the Batman of China. Wang was chosen by the Chinese Ministry of Self-Reliance to become the counterpart to America's Batman, and he did an excellent job at it.

Not only did Wang Baixi invent several incredible devices that the Chinese Ministry would go on to use themselves, but he also proved just how dangerous he was when he created a gadget that allowed him to easily defeat Kong Kenan, despite the man having powers similar to Superman's. Wang Baixi's detective skills were also so great that he would go on to deduce Clark Kent's secret identity, which almost cost him his life due to the machinations of Lex Luthor.

4 The Siganl Duke Thomas Is Batman's First Metahuman Ally

Batman #22 by Scott Snyder, Greg Capullo, Danny Miki, FCO Plascencia, and Nick J. Napolitano

Duke Thomas is one of the latest additions to the Bat-Family and has been a truly great one, despite what little page time he gets. Duke ed the Bat-Family after his parents were infected by Joker Venom during the events of the New 52 storyline, Endgame. Though Duke was introduced early in the New 52, he was later reinvented as the metahuman hero known as the Signal.

Not Even Batman's Sidekicks Can Escape His Greatest Weakness

Batman is a great mentor, especially to the Signal, but training with him also comes with its own downfalls—like never knowing when to ask for help.

The Signal is one of the few of the Bat-Family who operates during the daytime, and while he may not be the best fighter in the family by any means, he has a significant advantage as a metahuman. Duke has a large degree of control over both light and darkness, allowing him to either turn himself invisible or even see the past due to being able to read the history of light particles, granting the Signal a huge advantage over regular fighters.

3 Ghost-Maker Is Batman's Equal in Almost Every Way

Batman #100 by James Tynion IV, Jorge Jiménez, Tomeu Morey, and Clayton Cowles

Batman traveled all over the world to learn the skills that he has today to be one of the most dangerous men alive. During his travels, he met the man who would later go on to be known as Ghost-Maker. Ghost-Maker trained under all the same masters as Batman and is his perfect equal. The only reason Ghost-Maker is a hero instead of a villain is that he finds fighting crime to be far more challenging than causing chaos. Ghost-Maker is a bizarre anti-hero who only serves out justice for the challenge of it.

Ghost-Maker's skills are so great that not only is he able to regularly match Batman in combat, but he even managed to take on Deathstroke once. When it comes to characters introduced to the Bat-Family in the last decade, there simply isn't anyone who can match Ghost-Maker's pure skill in combat, but his lack of superpowers makes him weaker than other new characters.

2 Gotham Burned Out Before Showing His True Power

DCU: Rebirth #1 by Geoff Johns, Phil Jimenez, Gary Frank, Matt Santorelli, Gabe Eltaeb, Brad Anderson, and Nick J. Napolitano

Gotham isn't just one of the most powerful of the Bat-Family, he's one of the most powerful metahumans in the DC Universe, period. Gotham was a man named Henry Clover Jr, and he and his sister were once saved by Batman in Park Row. Wanting to repay that debt, the two siblings used their family's fortune to help the less fortunate.

Wanting to help even more, the pair eventually went overseas and bought superpowers from an unknown source. Their powers were tied to their life force, meaning the more energy they expanded, the faster they died. While this loss was a steep price to pay, the power they gained from it was undeniable. At his full strength, Gotham was capable of taking on the entire Justice League and knocking out Superman with just a few blows.

1 Gotham Girl Is the Strongest Bat-Family Member of the Last Decade

DCU: Rebirth #1 by Geoff Johns, Phil Jimenez, Gary Frank, Matt Santorelli, Gabe Eltaeb, Brad Anderson, and Nick J. Napolitano

Gotham Girl has all the same powers as her brother, but unlike her brother, she hasn't burnt out. Instead of letting her die due to the overuse of her powers, Batman used platinum Kryptonite to bestow her the full powers of a Kryptonian, which was actually a downgrade for her. No longer is she powerful enough to take out Superman with just a few punches, but now she doesn't have to put her life on the line every time she uses her powers.

With the full power-set of a Kryptonian and without the weakness of Kryptonite, there's no denying that Gotham Girl is clearly and easily the most powerful member of Batman's Bat-Family that has been introduced within the last decade. Unfortunately, with her fragile mental state, she easily swings between the most powerful member and their most powerful villain.
