Moon Knight season 2 is unlikely to happen due to that, as only Marvel's recent batch of shows is being thought out with a multi-season focus. However, Winderbaum confirms there are plans for Moon Knight's MCU return. Check out the full quote below:
"So I think Marvel Television has happened in waves, and I think Moon Knight happened in a wave of shows that were going to establish characters that would tie-in to the future. And moving forward, our priorities have shifted. We’re making shows as shows that can exist as annual releases, more like television. I would love to see a Moon Knight Season 2, but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road."

Based on Winderbaum's comments, those waiting to see Oscar Isaac return for Moon Knight season 2 are likely never going to get that wish. Marvel's first wave of shows had only Loki from the live-action portion return for a second season. WandaVision resulted in two separate spinoffs, the already aired Agatha All Along and the Vision series. Other projects ended up leading to more MCU shows or movies. It seems that even though fans want Moon Knight season 2, Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley will have to return in a different project.

The MCU Could Have Made Season 2 Better Than The First
I'm disappointed by the Moon Knight season 2 news. The show was promising, and even though season 1 felt uneven towards the end, I think season 2 could have been much better. By adding a couple of extra episodes and making it TV-MA, like Daredevil: Born Again and Echo, now that Marvel works with more adult fare, Oscar Isaac's Moon Knight series could have really thrived. At least Marvel has plans for the hero, and I would love to see the Midnight Suns make their MCU debut like Isaac wants. That said, Moon Knight season 2 could have been great.
