Megan Fox’s big break arrived when she ed the Transformers franchise as Mikaela Banes, but what has she done since she left the world of Transformers? Megan Fox rose to fame when she ed one of the most popular franchises in the world of sci-fi, but she wasn’t a newcomer when she was cast as Mikaela Banes. Fox’s acting career began in 2001 in the direct-to-video rom-com Holiday in the Sun, starring Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, in which she played the antagonist of the story. Her next role was on TV in the soap opera Ocean Ave. where she played Ione Starr, and after that, she returned to the big screen in Disney’s Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, where she once more played the antagonist.
Fox has alternated her acting career between film and TV, and what followed were minor appearances in shows like What I Like About You, Two and a Half Men, a main role in the short-lived sitcom The Help, the sitcom Hope & Faith, and a starring role in the TV movie Boss Girl (also known as Crimes of Fashion). However, and as mentioned above, her big break arrived in 2007 when she was cast as Mikaela Banes in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Fox didn’t reprise her role as Mikaela in the third Transformers movie, Jennifer’s Body, directed by Karyn Kusama and written by Diablo Cody, in which she played the main role. Jennifer’s Body wasn’t well-received at first, but Fox’s performance received a lot of praise, and the movie has now gathered a cult following.
Fox’s next projects were the Western superhero movie Jonah Hex, the drama ion Play, the rom-com Friends with Kids, and the comedies The Dictator and This Is 40, before she ed another big-budget production: The Expendables 4.
After her time in Reagan Lucas in New Girl. Megan Fox’s big break happened thanks to Transformers, but her career has definitely improved since she left that universe and she has pretty much explored every genre in film, and she will continue to do so as more projects come her way.
