The MCU's best movies have come out amid the Multiverse Saga, such as Spider-Man: No Way Home and Deadpool & Wolverine. While the overall saga has had its issues, it introduced exciting new characters and storylines.

Sadly, many of those characters do not have a set project to return in. The list ranges from street-level heroes to multiverse additions and more. The 2027's Avengers: Secret Wars, the major event that is rumored to reboot the franchise as it did in the comics. If that were to happen, there is no telling which new characters the MCU would keep or not, and so there are some that need to return before the Multiverse Saga is over.

10 Echo

Last Appeared In Echo (2024)

First up is Echo. The character debuted in Hawkeye, serving as a villain who worked for Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin. The MCU has further built the connection between the two by giving Maya Lopez her own series. The character has changed the franchise in a key way, being the first to lead a mature project in the MCU.

She would make for a good new member of the Thunderbolts team after their debut movie or a guest star in Daredevil: Born Again.

Disney+'s Echo was the first TV-MA series by Marvel Studios, which was then followed by Deadpool & Wolverine being the franchise's first R-rated movie. Alaqua Cox showed even more nuance in the role, her charisma, and her action prowess in the violent MCU series. Echo has quickly grown into an interesting player for the MCU's street-level stories due to her unpredictability, and she would make for a good new member of the Thunderbolts team after their debut movie or a guest star in Daredevil: Born Again.

9 She-Hulk

Last Appeared In She-Hulk: Attorney At Law (2022)

Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, is one of the MCU's most exciting new additions. The character brought a Hulk-related project to the MCU for the first time since 2008's The Incredible Hulk. While She-Hulk: Attorney at Law had its faults, Tatiana Maslany's performance as Jen/She-Hulk was not one of them in the slightest. The actress was a delight in the role, and She-Hulk would be a great player for multiple projects.

With better CGI, She-Hulk could also be a standout in the next two Avengers movies.

Due to the series' divisive reception and the lofty budget needed for the hero's VFX, it is unlikely that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will be renewed for season 2. However, the character could still appear on the small screen, as Jen's chemistry with Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock could lead to a surprise role in one of Daredevil: Born Again's seasons. With better CGI, She-Hulk could also be a standout in the next two Avengers movies.

8 Ms. Marvel

Last Appeared In The Marvels (2023)

Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan is quickly rising to become one of the MCU's best characters. Ms. Marvel is extremely fun to watch, with Kamala being as excited about the MCU's many superheroes as fans are. Vellani delivered a charming performance in Disney+'s Ms. Marvel, which set her up for even bigger adventures in the MCU, complete with the tease of an X-Men future.

After the MCU revealed Kamala Khan has the mutant gene, Ms. Marvel was revealed to be a mutant in the comics and ed the X-Men in a run written by Iman Vellani.

After that, Kamala was part of a fun dynamic with Captain Marvel and Monica Rambeau in The Marvels, which showed that Vellani excels in the role on both TV and movies. The character has immense potential, with the MCU making her the founder of the Young Avengers team, even if not yet named, as she started the recruitment process in one of The Marvels' post-credits scenes. Kamala is low on the list due to her having appeared recently.

7 Kate Bishop

Last Appeared In The Marvels (2023)

While Hailee Steinfeld's Kate Bishop also appeared recently, the cameo nature of the role was not enough for one of the MCU's replacements for the original Avengers. Steinfeld stole the show on Disney+'s Hawkeye, with her quips and vibrant energy being excellent in contrast to Jeremy Renner's veteran Hawkeye. Kate Bishop and Clint Barton make a great team, and seeing them together again before Renner likely bows out of the MCU after the Multiverse Saga is a must.

Steinfeld has an Oscar nomination and many hit movies and series under her belt. The actress could easily continue to lead the Hawkeye series on her own for season 2 and beyond if Renner is not involved. Adding to that, Kate Bishop has been recruited by Ms. Marvel to what should be the Young Avengers. Before the Multiverse Saga ends, the team has to assemble, hopefully helping the new Avengers in the team's next two films.

6 Moon Knight

Last Appeared In Moon Knight (2022)

Oscar Isaac is one of the biggest names to have ed the MCU during the Multiverse Saga. While not as violent as Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had touted it to be. Disney+'s Moon Knight was darker and more mature than a lot of the other MCU projects. The series introduced a new side of the franchise, but Moon Knight season 2 has yet to be confirmed.

Midnight Sons: 10 MCU Heroes Perfect For Blade's Supernatural Avengers

The MCU has introduced many supernatural characters in recent years, and with the absence of superhero teams, the Midnight Sons could form soon.

While Moon Knight is coming back in What If...? season 3, there has been no confirmation about Isaac's live-action return to the franchise. The character could be a good player in other street-level MCU projects, such as Daredevil: Born Again or perhaps Spider-Man 4, if the latter goes in the direction that Spider-Man: No Way Home set up. Marc Spector, Steven Grant, and Jake Lockley still have much to resolve among themselves, and Moon Knight could be a key member of the Midnight Sons, a supernatural team that is looking increasingly likely for the MCU.

5 Clea

Last Appeared In Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness (2022)

Charlize Theron made a shocking debut in the mid-credits scene of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Clea is an extremely powerful character in the comics, having served as the Marvel Universe's Sorcerer Supreme. She has been romantically linked to Doctor Strange in the comics and is the niece of none other than Dormammu, the ruler of the Dark Dimension who Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange outsmarted in his MCU debut.

Incursions are events that happen when two universes collide, with one or both being destroyed.

Theron's Clea has only appeared in a very short scene so far, which is not nearly enough for such a major character. Thankfully, she should return to play a big role in the MCU's Multiverse Saga, as Clea recruited Doctor Strange to help her stop an incursion that he had accidentally created. Be it in Doctor Strange 3 and/or the next Avengers movies, Theron's Clea will return.

4 Eros

Last Appeared In Eternals (2021)

Harry Styles ing the MCU was one of the biggest surprises of the Multiverse Saga. The popular singer/actor was cast in a role that has immense potential, as Styles gives life to Eros, aka Starfox, who is Thanos' half-brother. After Josh Brolin teased that Thanos could return to the MCU, Marvel might have plans to explore Eros and the Mad Titans' upbringing.

Styles' Eros could also try to stop Thanos' resurrection. In the comics, there is a storyline that sees Starfox become the leader of the Guardians of the Galaxy as he tries to stop his evil brother from coming back to life. With Eternals 2 looking unlikely after the first movie bombed at the box office, Eros could continue his MCU story with the new Guardians of the Galaxy team Marvel set up.

3 Deadpool And Wolverine

Last Appeared In Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)

Now for a t entry, the MCU needs to have another Deadpool and Wolverine team-up before the Multiverse Saga is over. Hugh Jackman shockingly agreed to come back to the role, and as the actor is likely too old for the MCU's X-Men reboot, Marvel has to use him the most it can before then. As such, Wolverine could play a key role in the next two Avengers movies.

Of course, that needs to happen alongside Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool. The record-breaking success of Deadpool & Wolverine shows just how well the duo works together. That could even lead to Reynolds' Deadpool 4, which has to happen at this point, becoming a Deadpool & Wolverine sequel that makes good use of Jackman's Wolverine while the character is still around. The MCU movie's Deadpool moment with Thor also has to be paid off in the Avengers films.

2 The Void’s Resistance

Last Appeared In Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)

Deadpool & Wolverine also featured other characters that the MCU should bring back while the Multiverse Saga is not over. The Void's Resistance team consisted of multiverse characters who worked well together. While the 19-year-old Dafne Keen could continue in the MCU as X-23, the rest of the Resistance are very unlikely to do so, even if fans want Channing Tatum's Gambit to be back full-time.

As such, a role in one of the MCU's multiverse projects is how all of the Resistance could appear one more time. Avengers: Secret Wars is the most likely project to feature the heroes, as it should have the largest cast the MCU has ever seen, with multiverse and MCU characters alike. Chris Evans could even return as a Johnny Storm variant and properly appear alongside the team, which he never did in Deadpool & Wolverine.

1 Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield's Spider-Men

Last Appeared In Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

Finally, the characters introduced to the MCU during the Multiverse Saga that need to return the most before it is over are Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield's versions of Spider-Man. After leading their own Spider-Man franchises, the duo came into the MCU to play ing roles in Spider-Man: No Way Home, working in favor of the development of Tom Holland's Peter Parker.

I Rewatched The Amazing Spider-Man 2 & It Beats Every Other Superhero Movie In 1 Way

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has one element that I believe no other superhero movie has managed to beat, and after a rewatch, that became very clear.

4

The Spider-Man movie turned out to be the highest-grossing superhero solo movie of all time, nearly breaking the $2 billion barrier. Given its box office success, it is very likely that Marvel and Sony will bring back Tobey and Andrew, perhaps even in Holland's Spider-Man 4. Given how the characters coming to the MCU depends on the multiverse, the studios should take the opportunity to use Maguire and Garifeld's Spider-Men as much as they can before the Multiverse Saga ends, and their MCU appearances with it.
