Kathryn Hahn's new comments following the finale of Kathryn Hahn's charismatic and captivating Agatha Harkness front-and-center. Agatha Harkness was the perfect little-known Marvel Comics character to get a solo series in the MCU, and I would love to see her return.
Agatha All Along came to an end on October 30, with the finale exploring Joe Locke's Billy Maximoff seemed to set off on a new adventure, but Kathryn Hahn's new comments have me worried that Agatha may not actually return.
Kathryn Hahn's Latest MCU Comments Discuss Agatha All Along As A "Way To Say Goodbye" To Agatha Harkness
Agatha Harkness May Not Be Returning After Agatha All Along
In November 2024, Kathryn Hahn spoke to the Agatha Harkness return to the MCU, and while Hahn's comments suggest this won't happen, she does leave the door open.
Of course, I love this part and I love Joe Locke madly, and we’ll see what the future holds. In my mind, this was a beautiful and satisfying way to say goodbye to this incredible character I had to play.
I'm Still Hopeful Agatha Harkness Will Return To The MCU
Agatha All Along Teased Agatha Harkness' Return
While Kathryn Hahn's comments the idea she won't return, given that she has said "goodbye" to Agatha Harkness, her stating that "we'll see what the future holds" creates the opportunity for her to return. I would love to see this happen, especially since there is a lot more to Agatha Harkness that we haven't seen. In Marvel Comics, Agatha Harkness spends much of her career as the ghostly mentor to Wanda Maximoff's Scarlet Witch, so seeing Agatha evolve into a ghost in Agatha All Along makes me hopeful this is just the beginning of her story.

Agatha Harkness’ Unique MCU Power Is Explained In Shocking Mutant Theory
Marvel Studios hasn't explained one huge aspect of Agatha Harkness' power set in the MCU, spurring theories that the witch may be more than she seems.
Agatha Harkness brings light, fun, entertainment but also a brilliant darkness to the MCU that I am desperate to see developed in the franchise's future. With future spinoffs from WandaVision expected in the future, I reckon the door is wide open for Agatha Harkness to return, especially since Agatha All Along's finale ended with her leaving Westview with Billy Maximoff in the hopes of tracking down his newly-resurrected brother, Tommy Maximoff. This makes me think Agatha Harkness has an easy route back into the MCU, and there are several projects that could bring her back.
Where & When Agatha Harkness Is Most Likely To Return To The MCU
There's Another WandaVision Spinoff Yet To Release
Since Kathryn Hahn made her MCU debut in WandaVision, and had her witchy villain developed further in the Phase 4 series' first spinoff, Agatha All Along, it seems easy to assume that Agatha Harkness will return in WandaVision's next spinoff. The MCU's Vision series will catch up with Paul Bettany's White Vision in the wake of his departure in WandaVision's finale. I've also speculated that Tommy Maximoff will have a larger role in the Vision series, which would constitute an appearance by Billy Maximoff and his spirit guide, Agatha Harkness.
It was confirmed in May 2024 that Star Trek: Picard's Terry Matalas will be the Vision series' showrunner, and the series is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2026 as part of the MCU's Phase 6.
While Agatha Harkness is the Scarlet Witch's ghostly mentor in Marvel Comics, it seems she has been connected in this fashion to Billy Maximoff in the MCU. Joe Locke's aged-up hero, Wiccan, is expected to be involved with the MCU's Young Avengers team, and Agatha could continue to be his guide in an as-yet-unconfirmed Young Avengers-centric project. I would love for Kathryn Hahn's new ghost to whisper in Billy Maximoff's ear long after Agatha All Along, and I'd be thrilled if this culminated in her eventual resurrection in a corporeal form.
