Sony recently announced that they're porting Spider-Man: Miles Morales at some point this autumn.

This iteration of Marvel's Spider-Man story sees Peter Parker swinging through a dynamic open-world New York City as he struggles to balance his superhero antics with personal responsibilities. This universe is a reimagining of the traditional Spider-Man narrative featuring classic characters in unique roles- in the beginning, Peter works with Otto Octavius as his research assistant while volunteering at a homeless shelter called F.E.A.S.T. Players luckily get to skip the origin story this time, as the starring Spider-Man already has eight years of experience. The game was developed by Insomniac Games and features a vast collection of costumes and abilities from various Spider-Man media.

Recently, Insomniac's promise that Spider-Man would remain a PlayStation exclusive, the game is taking full advantage of the new platform. Spider-Man will now offer high-quality ray-traced reflections, which look remarkable in the trailer. The port will also take full advantage of PC setups with GeForce RTX GPUs by implementing NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), which will improve graphic performance by boosting frame rates, and NVIDIA DLAA (Deep Learning Anti-Aliasing), which is an AI-based method of improving visual quality by minimizing the edge distortion of digital objects.

As well as unlocking the game's framerate, the PC port will offer a variety of display ratios. Players now have ultrawide and panoramic display , and can even use NVIDIA Surround multi-monitor setups. Like reflections, many of the game's rendering systems are now customizable, so players can scale their graphic quality level to their hardware capabilities to make Insomniac's already high-quality Spider-Man game look even better. This allows higher quality SSAO (which will enhance light gradients by better approximating ambient occlusion), texture filtering (which improves texture caliber), LoD (level of detail), and shadows.

ed features for Spider-Man Remastered on PC are:

  • NVIDIA DLSS to boost framerate
  • NVIDIA DLAA to boost image quality

Keyboard and mouse controls will also be fully ed and highly customizable. Fans who preorder the game will also receive three Spider-Man suits, the Spider-Drone gadget, five extra skill points, and all three The City That Never Sleeps DLC story chapters, allowing players to access all the game's classic Spider-Man villains. Apart from the DLC, all additional content can be acquired during gameplay, so the PC version's real appeal is in how incredible Spider-Man will look with such impressive graphical features.
