The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 1 (September 1958 - November 1958)

A couple of nights before Yom Kippur, Midge accompanies Joel to a successful stand-up gig at the Gaslight but she later learns Joel's act was stolen from Bob Newhart. Devastated and blamed by her parents for the breakup, a drunken Midge takes the stage at the Gaslight and performs a stand-up comedy act before she's arrested for indecency.

Midge meets comedian Lenny Bruce (Luke Kirby) in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel timeline, who was also arrested for obscenity. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 3 (December 1959 - June 1960)

Joel also meets Mei Lin (Stephanie Hsu), who becomes his new girlfriend. Susie begins splitting her time managing Midge and Sophie Lennon, who wants to become a Broadway actress. Abe and Rose vacate their Upper West Side apartment and move in with Moishe and Shirley in Queens.

Before she leaves for her tour, Midge and Joel's divorce is finalized in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel timeline. Midge and Susie then fly to Las Vegas with Shy Baldwin and his tour. Susie leaves Midge before her gig opening for Shy at the Apollo Theater so that she can burn down her late mother's house for the insurance money to pay back Midge. However, Midge misconstrues Reggie's advice to "talk about Shy" on stage and Mrs. Maisel inadvertently outs Shy to the audience. As a result, Midge and Susie are left on the airport tarmac after Reggie fires Mrs. Maisel from Shy Baldwin's tour.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Season 4 (June 1960 - November 1961)

Midge gets a break in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel timeline when she is hired as the Wolford's new comic emcee, however, things aren't going well for Susie. When Gaslight employee Jackie dies, she's distraught and stays at Midge's. Asher calls Abe to tell him that the FBI has opened an investigation on the topic of his theater review set in the 20s depicting two boys vandalizing a federal building. Abe makes things worse when he implicates Asher out of anger for him dating Rose in the past. Susie finds some luck when Frank and Nicky find her a cheap business office and Midge manages to improve conditions at the Wolford.

Sophie Lennon tries to get Susie to revive her career while Mei continually dodges meeting Joel's parents. Susie books Sophie on The Gordon Ford Show to resounding success. Meanwhile in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel timeline, Midge is forced to go to Shy's wedding reception and she's asked to sign a lucrative NDA, but refuses. Rose, whose matchmaking business is booming, finds disparaging articles about Midge and worries the bad press will affect her business. Talk show host Gordon Ford decides to hire Midge as a writer after a standout performance at the Wolford, but finds difficulty in a male-dominated writers' room.

Things heat up between Rose and her rival matchmakers, culminating in one of them burning her tea room down. Luckily head Matchmaker Benedetta is arrested and they form a truce. Things between Midge and Gordon get ugly as he makes a at her, despite being married, and she rebuffs him. Moishe and Shirley reconcile when Shirley finds herself grieving the loss of her unborn grandchild. After Gordon refuses to include "Diddy Doo" diaper cream as a sponsor, Midge is arrested for assaulting an executive of Diddy Doo, but she luckily gets off. In addition, Susie's mob connections and debt become an increasing problem that Joel and Midge argue over.

Comic TV star Danny Stevens guest stars on The Gordon Ford Show and is so impressed with Midge that he offers her a lucrative writing job. Gordon sees this and decides to finally make Midge's pay equal to that of the male writers. However, she's soon distraught after Jack Paar's producer won't sign her to his TV show despite her stellar performance in his comedy showcase, hiring James Howard instead. Meanwhile, Abe is frustrated that Ethan isn't a Weissman "genius" child, and turns his focus to Esther instead. This eventually leads him to apologize to Midge for paying more attention to Noah when they were children.

The final moments of the '60s in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel timeline occur in the penultimate episode. Midge visits her alma mater and retrieves the hidden message she wrote to her future self: all it says is, "Don't!". Gordon's wife Hedy, who had a prior relationship with Susie, gets Princess Margaret on the show. However, Hedy insists that Midge take credit for writing Margaret's jokes. In turn, Midge asks Hedy to get her on the show. Susie is arrested for disorderly conduct, distraught over Hedy, but is bailed out by Midge.
