Listening to the fans, NetEase has announced that Marvel Rivals players will now be able to turn their excess Chrono Tokens into units. Despite the game's massive success since launch, it's not all been smooth sailing, and one of the many concern points for players has been over the game's Battle currency, Chrono Tokens.

While currently useless if players have already redeemed everything possible, NetEase has now announced a big change to Marvel Rivals. Moving forward, if players purchase the Luxury Battle and redeem all its rewards, they'll be able to turn the leftover tokens into units. As the paid currency in Marvel Rivals, this is incredibly generous for players to now earn paid skins for free. Explaining the change in a Marvel Rivals dev video, creative director Guangguang, said:

"We've heard your about excess Chrono Tokens and how frustrating it can be when they don't carry over. So we're excited to announce a brand-new redemption system! Now you can convert those excess Chrono Tokens into Units. If you purchase the Luxury Battle and redeem all its rewards, you'll be able to convert any leftover Chrono Tokens for units at a specific ratio.

We want to make sure that your gaming experience is marvellous, and that you never feel like you aren't rewarded for your efforts!"

At present, players can earn Chrono Tokens to unlock cosmetic items in the battle . Once completed, however, these tokens continue to amass before expiring into the next season, leaving many disappointed to miss out on using them up. Now, players will be able to convert their leftovers into units at a fixed rate after completing the Battle , allowing them to save up for other in-game items or future battle es with this alternative currency.

With Guangguang noting that "We've heard your ", it's clear this change was very much inspired by the playerbase, showcasing the importance of listening to fans for the success of games. This isn't the first time that NetEase has listened to player either, having previously made no secret of implementing game tweaks and upgrades - like giving players access to win rates and pick rates - based on player reception. While not every player critique is guaranteed to be heard, it's nice to see how successful Marvel Rivals has been with it in mind.
