With Season 2 of Marvel Rivals in full swing, a large event surrounding the Hellfire Gala allows you to experience moments throughout the event and earn various rewards. Separated into three Acts, the Hellfire Gala Moments event has you complete multiple missions with different requirements. Those who pursue every objective in the event even have a chance to influence another Hellfire Gala next year.

Following the end of the Cerebro Database event in Marvel Rivals​​​, the Hellfire Gala Moments begins on May 2, 2025, at 9 AM UTC. This event will likely last throughout May, likely until Season 2.5 starts on May 30, 2025. With the release of Ultron and the newest mid-season patch adjusting some characters, players will have plenty to explore while participating in the event.

What Is The Hellfire Gala Moments Event?

Celebrate Krakoa Through Three Different Events

The Hellfire Gala Moments is the latest event in Marvel Rivals, but unlike others that have come before, this event is split into three separate Acts. In the past, events would sometimes have multiple parts that unlocked as time elapsed. For example, during the Cerebro Database, there were four character profiles with missions to complete, but it took time for each to be unlocked for players to do.

For the Hellfire Gala Moments, each event is completely different from the others, with its own set of rules and missions. During this event, you complete missions and earn unique currency to finish objectives for varying rewards. You can earn exclusive Emotes, skin Costumes, and other cosmetics in Marvel Rivals by participating in each of the three events seen in the Hellfire Gala Moments.

Similar to other events, it is likely that on May 2, 2025, only the first Act of the Hellfire Gala Moments will be available for players. However, the other two Acts should have dates and times when they unlock later.

The three Acts of the Hellfire Gala Moments event are:

1. Explore Krakoa
2. Hellfire Trading Company Gifts
3. Gala Star Vote

Each of these Acts will have exclusive missions to complete surrounding unique objectives, which may encourage you to play certain characters. Just as the Cerebro Database event had missions tied to playing Emma Frost, you may have to play a specific character in matches to meet shifting goals. You can access each Act's event missions from your active "Missions" or "Events" menu when it goes live in Season 2.

How To Explore Krakoa In Act 1

Find Island Attractions For Some Light Rewards

The first Act in the event is called "Explore Krakoa," asking you to play matches on the new Krakoa: Hellfire Gala map in any game mode. No matter if you are in Competitive, Quick Play, or Versus AI, when you play a match on the Krakoa map, this part of the event wants you to explore some of the areas. By unlocking different attractions, you'll be given some light rewards.

Finishing each Act in the Hellfire Gala Moments event gets you one step closer to unlocking the free "Patch" skin for Wolverine seen throughout different cinematics for Season 2.

Since the Hellfire Gala map is used for Domination matches, there are three stages you can explore for different Attractions related to the event. It may take some time to find the right landmarks, but you can easily unlock Island Attractions by completing missions rather than searching for specific areas. Doing this will allow you to claim postcards of these Attractions for Chrono Token currency in Marvel Rivals.

You seem to get 50-80 Chrono Tokens for each Island Attraction you find, with three at the start of Act 1. As of this time of writing, it is unclear if other Attractions will be added with more mission objectives as additional Acts unlock later. Given how new currency systems make Chrono Tokens harder to find, this is a great event to earn currency needed for cosmetics in the Season 2 Battle .

How To Earn Hellfire Trading Company Gifts In Act 2

Collect Unique Currency To Open Presents

The second Act of the Hellfire Gala Moments event is named "Hellfire Trading Company Gifts" after the company Emma Frost runs in the game's lore. During this part of the event, you are asked to complete more challenge missions to earn a unique currency called X-Coins​​​​​. Unlike Units, Lattice, or Chrono Tokens, X-Coins can only be used during the Hellfire Gala Moments event and can't be converted into anything else.

You can spend X-Coins to draw various gifts, which almost act like card packs you would find in different TCG titles. These gift packs cost varying amounts of X-Coins, likely depending on the rarity of the rewards they offer. For example, one gift that costs 50 X-Coins unlocks the "To Me, My X-Men" Emote for Emma Frost in Marvel Rivals.

Challenges will likely be similar to other missions you've experienced in the game, such as:

• Dealing enough damage during a match using a specific character
• Using a certain character's ability enough times
• Blocking a set amount of damage
• Completing several matches
• Winning some matches

Due to how many X-Coins you need to start purchasing Trading Company Gifts, the missions for this Act of the event will likely be more abundant. Similar to past events, such as Fortune & Colors, you may earn other forms of currency for completing these events alongside X-Coins.

How To Vote For A Gala Star In Act 3

Ensure Your Favorite Character Gets A New Skin Next Year

Perhaps the most interesting part of the Hellfire Gala Moments event is the final Act, named "Gala Star Vote." During this portion of the event, you earn Voting Tokens to vote on which characters had the best look for the Hellfire Gala in 2025. Similar to the X-Coins, you gain Voting Tokens by completing missions that unlock once this Act becomes available for players.

Once you have some Voting Tokens, you can vote for one of these eight characters:

• Emma Frost
• Black Panther
• Scarlet Witch
• Cloak & Dagger
• Wolverine
• Black Widow
• Bruce Banner/Hulk
• Captain America

Whichever characters have the most votes at the end of the Hellfire Gala will get a new skin in addition to whatever new cosmetics they'll receive in next year's Hellfire Gala. The 2026 Hellfire Gala will feature a new look for the character that was voted for the most during this event. This unorthodox competition between players is unlike anything the game has presented before, allowing everyone to vote on who should get a new skin.

The act of voting progresses this part of the event, as voting ten times for any character will complete the Act and help you get the free Wolverine costume featured in the Hellfire Gala Moments.

Voting for your favorite character for "Best Dressed" will generate your "Gala Star," creating a customized Gallery Card for you to enjoy. Only one character can be selected for the Gallery Card in this Act of the event, so you should take some time to consider who you're voting for. However, with Ultron right around the corner, you don't have an unlimited amount of time to cast your vote for someone.

Completing at least part of each Act will fulfill the requirements you need to earn a free skin, just like the Flora Maiden costume for Mantis in the Cerebro Database. Those who finish everything the Hellfire Gala Moments event has to offer in Marvel Rivals will receive a free Wolverine skin, which features one of the iconic X-Men's stylish looks from the comics.
