MCU as he recently said he wishes to. But for now he’s content with playing a stop-motion animated version of the supervillain on Hulu’s soon to be released streaming series from Marvel Animation.

Indeed there’s a lot of excitement around Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K., thanks in large part to the vocal talents of Oswalt. And critics appear to be very on board with the latest Marvel series as well. In fact, with the show set to arrive on May 21, 2021, Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. season 1 carries a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

It remains to be seen if the score holds up as more reviews come in, but for now the show appears to be another potential hit for Marvel in the streaming world. 2021 has of course already been huge for Marvel streaming properties thanks to the acclaimed shows connect directly to the MCU in ways that will be more fully revealed in later movies. M.O.D.O.K. on the other hand feels very much like a separate entity, though who knows what plans are in the future.

The plot synopsis for Marvel’s MODOK reads: “In "Marvel's M.O.D.O.K.," the megalomaniacal supervillain M.O.D.O.K. has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures fighting the Earth's mightiest heroes, M.O.D.O.K. has run his evil organization A.I.M. into the ground. Ousted as A.I.M.'s leader, while also dealing with his crumbling marriage and family life, the Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing is set to confront his greatest challenge yet!
