2019 has been as an astounding year, for the daddies, that is. We have been absolutely blessed with daddy after daddy this year, it's actually quite absurd. Despite what a garbage fire 2019 might have been in other areas, we can rest easy knowing that the daddy quota was absolutely filled this year. Today, we're going to be taking a look back at this year, and looking at ten different daddies that graced our TV screens this year, in no particular order. Let's get started with our titular daddy of this article, the Daddylorian.

Dyn

The Mandalorian The Way

While we did eventually get an unmasking, did we really need one? With or without a face, the Daddylorian was a constant presence needed in our lives. The Mandalorian's titular character was just what we needed to kick off Disney+ with. Either way, the show needed a parental figure, someone needed to take care of baby Yoda that we all seem to ignore is also 50 years old. Who... which of them was the real daddy of that show? You know what... let's just move on.

Geralt

Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher

What exactly did we do to deserve Henry Cavill at all? Literally, who knows because this man descended from the heavens to perform for us, and we could truly never repay him for that. Henry Cavill starred in The Witcher as Geralt this year, but this wasn't the first time that we got to stare at this man for hours on end, as he also plays (maybe not anymore but ya know) Superman in the DCEU. While Henry Cavill is fantastic and possibly the best daddy of 2019, we're not done with Superman just yet. Was this entry more about Henry Cavill than it was Geralt? Maybe so. Mind your business.

Connor Kent

Titans S2E06 Connor

In fact, let's just get into it now. If there's one thing that we're thankful for from the thousands of streaming services we have to pay for nowadays, it's DC Universe giving us Titans. More specifically, we're thankful for the second season giving us Connor Kent, Superboy.

While he might be a boy in name, he is daddy in just about every other conceivable way. Just, look. Look at him. Honestly, we really need to thank the producers of the show, as they gave us some very gratuitous shots of Connor that we did not earn, at all, but are thankful for nonetheless. And, don't worry. We STILL aren't done with Superboys and men.

Ravi

Ravi and Peyton

Some daddies don't necessarily stand out as immediate daddies, but instead slowly come into the limelight. Ravi, of iZombie fame, is one of those daddies. Ravi is one of the central characters of the show, and is actually a medical examiner. Can we count that as a doctor to make him even more of a daddy than he already was? Does he even need it? Probably not. No matter his profession, Ravi is a daddy we know that we can count on.

Joe

Joe-You-s2-10 unanswered questions

Is this... wrong? Look, try to deny it all you want, but You's Joe is the definition of daddy. Sure, his personality is... well... it's... we can look past that for now. You all have rooted at one point or another for Joe specifically because of how beautiful he is. That is a scientific fact and there is nothing that can be said or done about that. Look, just, don't think about this one. Just... okay yeah, this is pretty bad but it is 100% the truth.

Gabriel

gabriel maddox htgawm

How To Get Away With Murder is a show that is absolutely filled with daddies. Hello Frank. However, we have to give the daddy cake (that is not something that should never be said, wow) to Gabriel on this one because, look at him. Just like Connor, this show is not afraid to let us ogle Gabriel a solid 50% of the time that he's onscreen. Let's be real, Gabriel is one of many on the show that is a complete emotional and mental mess, but he still pretty. Thus, he takes a spot on this list.

Jay

I Am The Night - Jay Singletary

Look, sometimes you have to go on Wikipedia, look to see if Chris Pine was in any TV show this year, and then rejoice because that means you get to put him on the daddy list. Because anytime that there is ever a list that is discussing daddies, Chris Pine needs to be included on that list. So... do we know who Jay Singletary from I am the Night is? Not.... necessarily. That is completely okay though, because it is Chris Pine and we're just going to have to be okay with that.

Mark

Michael B. Jordan in Raising Dion

An actual daddy of the list, we have Mark from Raising Dion. This us one of several superpowered daddies on the list, and not just in looks, but like, actual superpowers.

Mark has many different superpowers, one of which is invisibility, but like... why? Why would you literally ever use invisibility when you're Michael B. Jord- Mark. When you're Mark.

Baba

Jason Momoa as Baba Voss in See Apple TV+

Look, sometimes you have to go on Wikipedia, look to see if Jason Mamoa was in any TV show this year, and then rejoice because that means you get to put him on the daddy list. Did... did we say that already? Whether or not we did, it's completely irrelevant because Jason Mamoa needs to be added to any daddy list because he's basically the daddy of all daddies. The eyes, the hair, the everything. He might not be your typical TV daddy, but he might have the strongest daddy energy out of the entire list.

Superman

Tyler Hoechlin Superman

The final Superman of the list, we have the Arrowverse's version. Honestly, anyone in a Superman costume is a daddy, but this version has the chiseled face to back it up. Stare in to it for a moment. Are you shook? You should be. With a Superman & Lois spin-off currently in the works, we don't need to worry about this daddy leaving our screens any time soon. That's it, the best news of 2019. Here's to keeping the daddy this strong in 2020!
